598 Pursuant to his Ex.ncy order bearing date the 17.th day of July Anno Dom 1696 It is Ordered by this Court that the Constables of each respective hundred within this County goe to every individual house within their hundreds and take an accompt of the Master Mistresse or Dame of ^Every^ such house in Writing under such Master Mistresse or Dames owne hand what Number of Titheables they ^have^ which said List soe taken they are to these seal up after a Coppy therof made for the County and transmit the same to his Ex.ncy att the port of Annapolis by the 16.th day of September next Thomas Hix being presented by the Orphan Jury in June last for Keeping Two Orphans of Edward Hammond and bringing them up to Nothing but the Hol It is therfore Ordered by this Court that the said Thomas Hix being before the Justices att this next Court the Orphans of Edward Hammond Simon Wilmer Clk Samuel Withers being presented by the Orphan Jury that Whereas the said Samuel Withers haveing an Orphan Boy of Charles Sterrests bound to him the said Withers by the Father of the said Orphan but not Knowing what he is bound to desire it may be Enquired into by the Court It is therfore Ordered by this Court that the said Samuel Withers bring the said Orphans Indentures before the Justices att their next Court Simon Wilmer Clk |
