596 Capt Edward Sweatnam publishes an order of Council dated the 17.th of July Anno 1696 Touching Constables takeing the list of Taxables Ordered by this Court that D.r Gerrard as Westels have a Boy Named William Thomas now under the Tuition of John Laycock the said Westols haveing Agreed with the Justices of Cæcil Court to Cure the said Boy of a scld head Court adjournes for an hour The Court Sitts againe
Grand Jury returne but find no presentm.t the Court Order them 200.ll Tobaccoe M.r James Wroth and John Heathcote being the 25.th day of March last presented by the Grand Jury for bearing away Two hhdds of Tobaccoe out of John Davis his house and the Clk of the Indictm.ts haveing drawne a bill Consonant therto upon which the Grand Jury above recited returned Ignoramus and that the said Record in March last be duely discharged it is by this Court Ordered that the said Wroth and Heathcote be discharged by Proclamacon which is accordingly performed Simon Wilmer Clk Charles Miles being presented by John Blackiston Constable of Swan Creek hundred for not Keeping the Orphans of William Pickett as he ought It is therfore ordered by this Court that the said Miles being the sd Pickett Children before the Justices next Court Simon Wilmer Clk |
