M.r James Wroth Acknowledges himselfe indebted unto our
soveraigne Lord King William the Third &c.a in full and just
sume of Tenn poundes sterl monie of England to be Leavied
of his Lands and tenements goods and Chattles Provided Ann

John Blackiston otherwise called John Blackiston of Kent
County plt.r standeth attached to answer unto John Power in
in a plea of Trespasse upon the case &c.a

Whereupon John Power by Griffith Jones his Attorny complaineth
and saith for that whereas the said John the Nineteenth day of
February 1694/5 att the plantacon of William Wright of the aforesaid
County in consideracon that he the said John Power att the
especial instance and request of him the said John Blackiston
would lend to him the said Blackiston to ride a small Jorney
upon the same horse from the house of the said Wright to the
Herring gutt and the said John Blackiston did assume upon himselfe
and unto him the said John Power did then and there such a
day Yeare and place aforesaid faithfully promise that he the
said John Blackiston in the Jorney aforesaid would in no manner
overload or any wise oppresse but the same horse when he
would be therunto required to him the said John Power would
safely deliver and he the said John Power in fact saith that
he trusting to the aforesaid promise and assumpcon of the aforesaid
John Blackiston afterwards to witt y.e day Yeare and place
aforesaid did lend the aforesaid John Blackiston the horse afores.d
to ride and Jorney upon the same horse as aforesaid & that the sd
John Blackiston did soe far provoke over labor and with such burthen
overload that the horse died and soe the aforesaid John Blackiston he
promise & assumpcon hath not performed or fullfilled to the damage
of him the said John Power 2000.ll Tob
