514 M.rs Mary Pooley preferring a Peticon to this Court wherein she Asserts that her Mother M.rs Mary Smith of Kent Island is very much abused by her husband Matthew Smith it is therfore ordered by this Court that the said Mary Smith appeare att the next Court to declare the Circumstance of her abuse M.r John Whittington of Talbot County becomes bound to their Maj.ties King William and Queene Mary in the sume of Forty pounds sterl monie of England to be leavied of his Lands and Tenements goods and chattles provided he doe not prosecute William Hopkins in Talbot County Court the said Hopkins being accused for Hogg stealing to which he gave his consent Edward Plesto and Eliz North being by a Petit Jury last Court found guilty for liveing togeather incontinently upon which verdict the said Edward Plesto and Eliz North by Charles Baste their Attorny did move and Arrest the Judgment and now say that there was no Law produced to maintaine the said presentm.t or by which they may be punished and moreover that the presentment was not laid within time But this Court have ordered that the said Edward Plesto and Eliz North doe separately and give securitie for their good behavior and Appearance att Next Court Simon Wilmer Clk |
