501 (255) Edward Plesto and Elizabeth North being presented by the Grand Jury and being called to Answer the said presentm.t which is as followeth Kent fs The Jurors for our Soveraigne Lord and Lady the King and Queene that now are for the Body of Kent County upon theire Oathes doe p.rsent Edward Plesto of the aforesaid County Carpenter and Elizabeth North Wife of William North of the aforesaid County Planter for that they the said Edward and Elizabeth to witt the Twenty Fifth day of November Anno Dom 1692 att Chester River in the aforesd County and a long time before and since to the dishonor of Almighty God together incontinently have lived and ag.t the peace of our soveraigne Lord and Lady aforesaid and the good Lawes in that case made and provided Wittness Mary Gilbert Earickson Dom Reg & Regina & Sarah Hall To which p.rsentm.t the said Edward Plesto and Elizabeth North pleaded not guilty and for Tryall puts themselves upon God and the Country which Country is as followeth
The Jury as above being duely swore and the presentment againe Read to which the said Edward Plesto and Elizabeth North pleaded not guilty as before Whereupon the said Mary Gilbert and Sarah Hall were sworne as Evidences on their Maj.ties behalfe to declare the Truth of their Knowledg who being heard by the Court and Jury and the Matter pleaded to by Matthew Earickson the Court giveth the Jury their Charge who withdraw some time to Consider of the Matter before them and then returne and the said Jury being Called over by theire respective Names and Edward Plesto and Elizabeth North being likewise |
