498 John Cogdall of Kent Island being presented by the Orphan Jury in June last for suffering y.e Plantacon belonging to the orphans of Francis Barnes to ruin to ruin but the Court supposeing no ground for such p.rsentm.t Therfore this court have ordered that the said John Cogdell be discharged from the said presentm.t Rowland Lew of Kent Island prefors a Peticon to this Court against Matthew Smith of the same Island but the instant of the Peticon being within the limits of a late Act of Assembly intituted an Act for speedy and easy Justice for small Debts have referred the said Peticon to be determined by Capt John Copedge Thomas Usher proves an accompt Accompt a.ty Nicholas Hogson for the sume of 445.ll Tob Simon Wilmer Clk This Court adjournes till to Morrow Seaven of y.e Clock The same Court sitts againe according to Adjourm.t being the 27.th day of March Anno Dom 1695 M.r Michael Turbutt and Robert Tailor as Evidences doe prove a Letter of Attorny made by Andrew Skinner of Talbot County to Richard his sonn Simon Wilmer Clk Roger Howard of Cæcil County haveing an Orphan Boy of George Brownes bound to him by this Court and designeing out of the Province This Court orders That William Woodland take the said Orphan Boy who becomes bound for performeing of Roger Howard agreemt and likewise to learne the said orphan to write and Reade & instruct him in his Grade |
