In any of y.e Cases affores.d to take life or member
but that in such case you send y.e prisoners with their
Indictments & y.e whole matter depending before y.e
to y.e next provinciall Court to be holden for our s.d
province whensoever or wheresoever to be holden
there to be tryed And further wee doe authorise
you hereby to Ishue out writs precepts prosesed
arrests & attachments to holde plea of oyer and
terminer and after Judgment Execution to award
in all causes Civill whether in actions reall ^or^ personall
or mixt according to y.e Laws orders & reasonable customs
made & used in this our province of Mary Land In
which causes Civill soe to be tryed (excepting as
before Excepted) wee doe constitute ordaine and
apoint y.u M.r Hans Hanson M.r Daniell Norris
M.r Elias King M.r W.m Frisby to be Judges as
affores.d and therefore wee doe command y.u that
y.u diligently attend y.e keeping of y.e peace Laws & orders
and all & singular other y.e premises and at certaine
dayes apointed according to act of assembly in such
case provided & in such places as you or any four or
more of y.u as affores.d shall in that behalfe apoint
you make enquiry upon y.e preemises & performe &
fullfill y.e same in forme affores.d doeing therein y.t
which to right & Justice apertaineth according
to y.e Laws orders & reasonable customes of this our
province saveing to us y.e amercements & other
things thereof to us belonging And therefore Free
Command y.e Sherriffe of y.e s.d County of Kent by
vertue of these presents that at y.e dayes & places affores.d
as you or any such four of you or more as affores.d shall
make known to him he give his attendance on you &
if need require he cause to come before you or any such
four or more of you as affores.d such & soe many good and
Lawfull men of your County by whom y.e truth in the
premises may y.e better be knowne & Enquired of Given
at our City of S.t Maries under y.e great seale of our s.d
province of Mary Land this 6.th day of iber in y.e 5.th year
