Know all men by these presents that I John Nicolson
of Cecill County in the province of Mary Land have made
ordeined Constituted & apointed & by these presents doe
make ordeine constitute & appoint my deare & loveing
wife Katherine Nicolson of y.e same place any true
& Lawfull Attorney for me & in my name & for my use
to aske demand & Receive of & from all & all maner of persons
whatsoever all sums or sumes of money goods wares
or Merchandize due & giveing to me or shall or may
hereafter become due or giveing to me & upon nonpayment
thereof the said persons or any of them their
Executors or Administrators for me & in my name to
sue Arest imprison implead & present for the same
and upon such suite do proceede to Judgment & execution
and thereupon y.e said persons or any of them their Exec.rs
& administrators in prison to hold & keep untill payment
thereof be made with all Costs & damages susteined
& to be susteined by occasion of deteining of the same And
upon payment & thereof the said persons or any of them
their Exe.rs & Adm.rs forth of prison to discharge and
Acquitances for the same or any part thereof for me and
in my name so make seale & deliver And also to doe
performe and execute all and every other Lawfull and
Reasonable acts & things whatsoever both for obtaining
and dischargeing of y.e same as shall be needfull to be
done Giveing & by these presents granting unto my said
Attorney my full and absolute power in y.e premises
Ratifieing & holding firme all & whatsoever my said
Attorney shall Lawfully doe or Cause to be done in or
about y.e premises by vertue of these presents in witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seale the
twentieth day of Aprill in New Yorke in the third year
of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord King William by
the grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland
King defender of the faith Annoq Domini 1691
signed sealed & delivered            John Nicolson
in presence of
    Edw Antile
    John Anderson
