This Indenture made this Eighteeth day of May in y.e twelfe yeare
of y.e Dominion of y.e Right Hon.ble Charles Absoelute Lord and proprietary
of y.e province of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore
and in y.e yeare of our Lord Christ one thousand six hundred Eight
and seaven on and between William pearle and Elizabeth his wife
of y.e County of Kent planter of the one parte and Michael Miller
of y.e same County Gent of y.e other parte Witnesseth that whereas
Thomas Warrin Senio.r Late of Kent County Dced did by his last will
and testament give and Bequeath unto Eliz Warren Exector of the
said Thomas Warren now the wife of the said William Pearle A certayne
tract of land Contayning one hundred twenty & five Acaers the said William
and Elizabeth doth for and in Consideracion of y.e sum of fourteene
thousand pownd of toboblacke to them in hand payd att or before y.e Ensealing
and delivery of these p.rnts y.e Receipt whereof y.e said William & Eizabeth
doath Acknowledge themselves fully satisfied Contented and payed and
thereof and of Every parte and persell & hereof doth Exonerate Aquitt
and dischardge y.e said Michael Miller heires Ex.r or Adm.r for Ever hath
Bargained sold Enffeoffed and Confirmed and doth by these p.nts bargain
sell Aleniate Enffeoffe & Confirme unto y.e said Michael Miller his heires
Ex.r or Adm.r all that parsell or tract of Land being parte of a tract of
Land lying in Kent County & in a bay Called Langfords bay begining att
a bounded tree of A persell of Land Belonging to Richard Hudson
& being y.e upper bounded tree of y.e said Hudsons Lande and runing upp
y.e said bay for breadth fifty perches from thence runing north west foure
hundred perches for Length and from y.e End of y.e north west Line south
west fifty perches untill itt Intersects y.e said Hudsons land and then allong
y.e said Hudsons Line be y.e first bounded tree Contayning one hundred
twenty and five Acres bee y.e same more or Less together with all and
singular the Rights members jurisdictions priviledge or proffits there
unto belonging or in any wise Appertayning withall deeds wrightings
Evidences or Manuscripts Touching or in any wise Concerning y.e same
To have and ^to^ hold the said tract or persell of Land with all & singular
y.e before bargained premises unto him y.e said Michael Miller his heirs
or assignes shall and will att all times hereafter warrant & defend from
all manner of persons Laying any Clayme Right or title thereunto
y.e Rents & services due unto y.e Lord Proprietary onely Excepted and
for pruse In Testymony wee y.e ^said^ William & Elizabeth have hereunto
subscribed our names & fixed our seales the day & yeare first above
written
