29 (15) The Examination of John Bowles & Thomas Moore of Chester ^river^ In y.e County of Kent Planters being sworn on y.e [illegible] by M.r Henry Hosier of y.e s.d River & County y.e 29.th of Janu.ry 1676/7 And y.e s.d Deponants saith as followeth: That A Bay mare aged about ten yeares That was in y.e possesio of Vincent Achinson [illegible] & now in y.e Posso of Elizabeth Achison was given unto by her father Vincent Achison in Exchange of A Black Mare that was formerly given unto y.e s.d Mary [illegible] Aunt smith And y.e s.d Vincent & [illegible] severall fines ownd y.e s.d Bay mare to be the [illegible] on his oath further saith that y.e s.d Vincent Achison Did severall times say that y.e female increase of y.e s.d Bay mare he would give unto his Daughter Mary & further saith they were hers: Further saith not John Bowles Thomas Moore his :T: Marke The 5.th Day of Feb.ry 1676/7 James Curle then sworn before M.r Henry Hosier saith that [illegible] Bay mare about three yeares and a halfe since was Acknowledged by Vincent Achinson [illegible] his wife to be his Daughter Marys mare & they further s.d then severall times since: that y.e female increase of y.e s.d Mare should belong to y.e s.d Mary Achinson [illegible] s.d that M.rs Smith gave y.e s.d Mary that was [illegible] y.e s.d bay mare: And further saith not
