This Indenture made the Fifteenth day of March Ann.o
Domi 1686 duenis the twelfth year of the Dominion of the
R.tt Hon.ble Charles & Between Judith Hemsley of Talbot
County in the province of Maryland widdow Executive of the
last will and Testament of William Hemsley late of the
same place Gen.t of the one part and Daniel Toaes of the
County of Kent in the Province aforesaid Marrimen of the
other part Wittnesseth that the said Judith Hemsley
according to the tenor and true meaning of the last Will and
Testament of the said William Hemsley decd late the
husband of the said Judith Hemsley and by force and vertue
of the same last will and Testament for and in Consideration
of the sum of Seaven thousand and five hundred pounds of
[illegible]
of good Tobacco and Caske to her in hand paid by the
said Daniell Toaes before then sealing and delivery here of
the receipt whereof she the said Judith Hemsley doth hereby
acknowledge and hereof acquit and discharge the said Daniell Toase
his Ex.ts Admin.trs & Assigns Hath given granted bargained
alined released enfeoffed and confirmed And by these p.rsent
doth give grant bargaine sell alien release enfeoffe and
confirme unto the said Daniell Toaes all that tract or percell
of land being in Kent County and on the north side of
Chester River and on the East side of a Creek called Goose
haven was said tract of Land is knowne and comonly called
by the name of Gooshaven Beginning at a maked
popler tree standing at the West and of a percell of Land
taken upp for Debtor Davenport and runing from the said
tree for length in the Woods north East four hundred
perches then wth a line Drawne North West two hundred
perches and fifty perches till itt entersect a percell of Land
taken upp by John Bowles and from thence with a line
drawne south west bounding with the said Bowles Land till
it meet wth Chester River and from thence bounding
wth the River to the abovesaid popler Containing and
laid out for five hundred acres and ^all^ Rights prevelidges
and appurtinances whatsoever to the said Land belonging
or any any wise appertaininge And all the Estate right title
enterist clame and demand whatsoever to the said Land
belonging or appertaining wth perecion & Revercons
Remainder and Remainders of all and singuler the said
bargained premises And patents deeds and writings
touching the said bargained premisess To have and to hold
the same unto the aforesaid Daniell Toaes with all and
