Know all Men by these p.rsents: That I Robertt Burges of
Kin in y.e County of Esex Within y.e Pattent of y.e Mattathusets in
New England: For Divers good Causes & Considerations and herein
[illegible] hath Constituted: Authorised: Deputed: and Apoynted
And by these p.rsents Doth Constitute Authorise Depute and
apoynt my Well beloved Friends James Ringgold & Henry Hosier
of y.e County of Kent: Gen.t My true & Lawfull Attornys: To aske
Demand Leavy sue for Recover and Receive all such Bills Bonds
Dues Accomp.t what so ever Whether it be by Rent or otherwise
within y.e Province of Maryland: Due or oweing to me y.e s.d Robert
Burges as Attorny to Elizabeth Burges and Mathew Ferinton &
Sarah his wife of Lyn afores.d And to Depute and Constitute one
or more Atory or Attornys Under them for the Better and more
sure Recovery of y.e same & Further Lickwise To Prosecute &
Defend Any Action or Actions what so ever w.ch may be Comensed
by him y.e s.d Robertt as Attorny as Afores.d or Against him either
in y.e Provintiall or County Courtt in y.e s.d Province: And acquittan^ce^
& other Discharges: in y.e Name of y.e Elizabeth: And Mathew and
sarah: his Wife: to give And I Doe Lickwise Further Impower
my s.d Attornys to make sale of any Partt of Parcell of the Land
[illegible] y.e s.d Elizabeth: and Mathew and Sarah his wife by Vertue of
last will & testament of ^Tho^ South Gen.l Lately Deceased And for the
better sale thereof or any partt thereof: Convayance or other [illegible]
[illegible] to give: And occasion Requier to enter him and Upon y.e s.d Land
[illegible] Premises And the same to Dispose to the use of y.e s.d Elizabeth
and Mathew & Sarah his wife: Giving & by these granting to my s.d [illegible]
in and about y.e premisesing Full & whole Power And Ratifying and by
these p.rsents Alowing all and what so ever my s.d Attornys shall act
of God: to be a firme and stable in y.e Law to all intents and purposes as if
y.e the s.d Robertt: or y.e s.d Elizabeth: And Mathew & sarah his wife
were personally p.rsent to Doe the same In Witness whereof I have
here unto sett my hand & seale: the 35.th Day of Janu.ry Ann Dom 1676
