Turbutt of Talbott County Gent Greeting Know yee
that for the speciall Trust and Confidence wee have
and Impose in yo.r Knowledge Care & Circumspecon
Wee have ordained Constituted and Appointed and by
these p.rsents Doe ordaine Constitute & appoint you
the said Michaell Turbutt To bee Clerke & keeper
of our Records of the County of Kent Hereby Willing
and Requireing you To aske demand receive and
take Into yo.r Custody of and from Elias King now
Clerke of the said County of Kent All Records Transcrips
precepts papers and Emolluments whatsoever unto
the said County Court belonging or in any Wise
appertaineing And to Act doe and performe In the
Office aforesaid by himselfe or his Deputy as fully &
Amply as any Clerke of a County Court In this
Province may or ought to doe Haveing & takeing to
yo.r owne Propper use and behoofe All & singular
the perquisites and profitts of right to the said place
and Office belonging saying therefore yearly unto us
the sume of Foure Thousand Pounds of Tobacco for
long as you shall Continue we the said Office And
to hold the said place of Clerke of the County Court
of Kent County dureing Pleasure or soe long as if you
shall will behave you.r apse in the place & office aforesaid
