M.r Sweatnam Denyeth & saith That he had Power & a noate from Cap.t
Phineas Hide to Demand of Joseph Wickes & Ann: his wife Adm.rs of y.e
Estate of Benja Randall y.e sum of fifteen Pounds sterling & that y.e s.d
M.rs Wickes did saie it was her Desire & she would Continue y.t the said
fifteen pounds should be Payed & Further saith that he Verily [illegible]
that Majo.r Wickes would have been willing to have satisfied it if he
Could have saved himselfe Indemnified & further saith not & that

Michaell Miller of his County was sumoned to Answer Phillip Davis of the Court
afores.d Blacksmith of a plea that he render unto him y.e Sume of thirty five
pounds nineteen shillings sterling w.ch he oweth him & from him unjustly Detained

And Whereupon y.e s.d Phillip by William Harris his Attorny saith that y.e s.d
Michaes y.e eighth Day of May one Thousand six hundred eighty & five in
y.e County afores.d by A Certaine writting obligatory granted himselfe his
heires executors & Adm.rs to be bounden to y.e s.d Phillip in y.e s.d sume of thirty
five pounds nineteen shillings to be paid to y.e s.d Phillip &c by the
twenty.th Day of June yett y.e afores.d Michaell although often Required
y.e afores.d thirty five pounds & nineteen shillings hath not Rendered but y.t
the same to him hetherto hath Demed: & yett Doth Deme whereupon
he saith he is y.e worse & hath Damage to y.e Vallew of forty pounds
sterling & thereof he bringeth suite & he bringeth here into Court
