FRIDAY, January 2, 1807.

THE house met. Present the same members as on yesterday. The proceedings of yesterday were read.

The bill to lay out and streighten a road from Towson's tavern on the Baltimore turnpike road, to intersect
the Pennsylvania line at major David Wiley's, was sent to the senate by the clerk.

Mr. Chapman appears in the house.

Mr. Forwood, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to provide for the making
an alteration in the road therein mentioned; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. Aisquith, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act annulling the marriage of
Henry Peters and Anne his wife, of the city of Baltimore; which was read the first time and ordered to lic
on the table.

Mr. Harryman, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to alter and change the
times for holding the court of oyer and terminer and gaol delivery for Baltimore county; which was read the
first time and ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. Hawkins, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act making compensation to
the criers of the court of appeals, and the sheriffs attending the said court for the preservation of order therein;
which was read the first and second time by especial order, passed, and sent to the senate by the clerk.

Mr. Moffit, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, A supplement to the act, entitled,
An act to lay out and open a road from the Pennsylvania line to the Susquehanna canal, in Caecil county; which
was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. B. Hodges, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act authorising the levy courts
of Anne-Arundel and Prince George's counties to levy a sum of money for building a bridge over Patuxent ri-
ver near Queen-Anne; which was read the first and second time by especial order, passed, and sent to the
senate by the clerk.

On the second reading of the bill to alter such parts of the constitution and form of government as relate to
voters and qualifications of voters, the question was put, That the same be referred to the first day of June
next? The yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow:

The bill authorising the collection of certain ground-rents due on lots in the town of Cumberland, in Allega-
ny county, was read the second time, passed, and sent to the senate by the clerk.
Mr. Bruce has leave of absence.

The supplement to an act, entitled, An act respecting the acknowledgment of deeds, was read the second
time and the question put. Shall the said bill pass? The yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow:
