der the act for establishing and securing the salary to the chancellor, 224 3 1; for taxes under the act for the
belter administration of justice, £ 262 5 2; for tales, £ 352 0 7; for bonds taken for money and stock lent,
£ 17, 235 0 0; for bonds taken for vacant land in Allegany county, £48 15 7; for bonds taken for the emission
of 1773, £55 5 9; for fines, forfeitures and amerciaments, £528 11 6; for marriage licences, £ 1, 514 16 51.;
for ordinary, retailers, hawkers and pedlers licences, £4, 398 17 44; from the treasurer of the eastern shore,
£ 1, 238 3 0; from the president, directors and company, of the Bank of Baltimore, for dividends on stock
£ 3, 584 5 0; from the president and directors of the Union Bank of Maryland for dividends on stock,. £ 1, 272;
from the president, directors and company, of the Farmers Bank of Maryland, for dividend on stock, £ 812 10 3;
from Benjamin Harwood, trustee, for dividends of interest and reimbursement of principal on stock, £ 9, 121
17 10; from William Marbury, for a balance due from him on the auditor's books, £5, 054 7 10; from the
United States, for dividends of interest, and reimbursement of principal, on stock transferred to the treasurer

of the western shore, in behalf of, and for the use of, the state of Maryland, £6, 370 32; and the further
sum of £1, 987 10 0, it being for so much navy six per cent, stock redeemed.

It appears to your committee, that Joseph H. Nicholson, Esquire, has transferred to. the treasure of the
western shore, in behalf of, and for the use of, the state of Maryland, the sum of 111, 207 dollars 95 cents,
nominal amount, in funded six per cent, stock, 547, 421 dollars 31 cents, nominal amount, in deferred six per
cent, stock, 76, 500 dollars funded eight per cent, stock, 5, 300 dollars navy six per cent, stock, and 2, 019 dol-
lars 14 cents funded three per cent, stock, amounting in the whole to the sum of 742, 448 dollars 40 cents.
It appears to your committee, that in conformity to a resolution of November session, 1805, the treasurer
has subscribed, on the part and in behalf of the state of Maryland, eight hundred shares in the Farmers Bank
of Maryland, for which he has paid the sum of 40, 000 dollars.

That it appears to your committee, by the accounts of said treasurer, he hath paid the sum of £ 121 9 2,
agreeably to the resolutions of November session, 1797, in discharge of the emissions of bills of credit of June,
1780, which emissions your committee have counted and burnt.

That it also appears to your committee the said treasurer hath paid away, from the first day of November,
1805, to the first day of November, 1806, the sum of 11 dollars 43 cents funded six per cent, stock, 5 dollars
71 cents deferred six percent, stock, 8 dollars 56cents funded three per cent, stock, £60 18 9 of the emis-

specie; for all which payments have been produced to your committee the necessary vouchers and receipts; and
that there remains in the treasury the sum of 164, 545 dollars 81 cents funded six per cent, stock, 551, 312 dol-
lars 77 cents deferred six per cent, stock, 260, 792 dollars 52 cents funded three per cent, stock, 76, 500 dollars
eight per cent, stock, £ 2, 437 18 6 of the emissions of bills of credit made by an act of congress of the 18th
of March, 1780, and the sum of £ 34, 475 19 11 3/4 specie; which sum of specie is appropriated in the manner
following, viz.
