A petition from sundry inhabitants of Harford county, praying a law may pass for laying out a road to begin
on the main road at Matthew Wiley's mill, on Deer creek, and from thence by widow Barret's and Andrew
Turner's, till it intersects the public road leading from Black Hall to Myer's mill, was preferred, read, and re-
ferred to Mr. Ayres, Mr. Street, and Mr. Montgomery, to consider and report thereon.

On motion, Leave given to bring in a bill, entitled, An act supplementary to the act, entitled, An ac re-
lating to negroes, and to repeal the acts of assembly therein mentioned. ORDERED, That Mr. Montgomery,
Mr. Shaaff and Mr. Van-Horn, be a committee to prepare and bring in the same.

A memorial from John Muskett and Susanna Muskett, his wife, of the city of Baltimore, stating, that the

said Susanna intermarried with Archibald Alexander, by whom she had two children; that the said Alexander

shipped himself on board of one of the United States vessels, and that in the month of July, 1804, she was in-

formed of his death; that on the 6th day of April, 1805, she intermarried with the memorialist, John Mus-
ket, and that it appears the said Alexander is still living, and praying that the marriage between the said Alex-
ander and Susanna be annulled, and the marriage contracted between the memorialists may be confirmed, was

referred, read, and referred to Mr. Stephen, Mr. Ayres, Mr. Contee, Mr. Ellicott and Mr. Yates, to consi-
der and report thereon.

The bill, entitled, An act confirming the title of Ignatius Davis to the land therein mentioned, Was read the
second time and passed.

On motion, the question was put, That leave be given to bring in a bill, entitled. An act to alter, change
and abolish, all such parts of the constitution and form of government as establish religious tests as a qualifica-
tion for civil offices ? The yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow.

The bill confirming the title of Ignatius Davis to the land therein mentioned, the bill to open a road from
Barnsville, in Montgomery county, to Zachariah Maccubbin's mill, and from thence to intersect the main road
leading from Frederick-town to George-town, at or near Log-town, the bill to authorise and empower the levy
court of Worcester county to levy annually a sum of money on the assessable property of said county for the
purposes therein mentioned, and the resolution in favour of Thomas Nicholls, of Simon, were sent to the se-
nate by the clerk.

The clerk of the senate delivers a bill, entitled, An act for the relief of Benjamin Cushwa, Martin Rickart
