of Maryland aforefaid, their feruants, minifters,
factors and afsignes, in the full ufe and fruition
of the benefit of this Our Charter.

   AND FVRTHER, Our pleafure is, and by
thefe Prefents for Vs, our heires and Succef-
fors, Wee doe grant unto the faid now Lord
Baltemore, his heires and affignes, and to the
Tenants, and Inhabitants of the faid Province
of Mary-land, both prefent, and to come, and
to every of them, that the faid Province, Te-
nants, and Inhabitants of the faid Colony or
Countrey, fhall not from henceforth bee held
or reputed as a member, or a part of the land
of Virginia, or of any other Colony whatfoever,
now tranfported, or hereafter to be tranfported,
nor fhall be depending on, or fubject to their
government in any thing, from whom Wee
doe feparate that, and them, and Our pleafure
is, by thefe Prefents that they bee feparated,
and that they be fubject immediately to Our
Crowne of England, as depending thereof for
ever.

   AND IF PERCHANCE hereafter it
fhould happen, that any doubts or queftions
fhould arife, concerning the true fence and un-
derftanding of any word, claufe, or fente[n]ce con-
tained in this Our prefent Charter, Wee will,
ordaine, and command, that at all times, and in
all things, fuch Interpretation bee made there-
of, and allowed in any of Our Courts whatfoe-
