thefe Prefents, for Vs, Our Heires, and Suc-
ceffors, wee doe covenant and grant to and with
the faid now Lord Baltemore, his heires and af-
fignes; That Wee, Our Heires and Succeffors,
fhall at no time hereafter, fet, or make, or caufe
to be fet, any Impofition, Cuftome, or other
Taxation, Rate, or Contribution whatfoever,
in or upon the dwellers and inhabitants of the
forefaid Province, for their Lands, Tenements,
goods or Chattells within the faid Province, or
in or upon any goods or merchandizes, within
the faid Province, or to be laden, or unladen
within any the Ports or harbours of the faid
Province: And Our pleafure is, and for Vs,
Our Heires, and Succeffors, Wee charge and
command, that this Our Declaration fhall be
henceforward from time to time received, and
allowed in all Our Courts, and before all the
Judges of Vs Our Heires and Succeffors, for a
fufficient and lawfull difcharge, payment, and
acquittance; Commanding all and fingular,
our Officers and Minifters of Vs, our Heires
and Succeffors, and enjoyning them upon paine
of Our high difpleafure, that they doe not pre-
fume at any time to attempt any thing to the
contrary of the premifes, or that they doe in
any fort withftand the fame, but that they be
at all times ayding and affifting, as is fitting,
unto the faid now Lord Baltemore, and his
heires, and to the Inhabitants, and Merchants
