 There being an Indictment found this Court against the
afd Ann Spray the Same is as foll.s Viz.t

    Kent County fs.t The Jurors for the Right Hon.ble the Lord prop.ry that now is for
Kent County afd upon their Oath Do present that Ann Spray late of S.t pauls
parish in the County afd Spinster the Servant of Nathaniel Ricketts the first
Day of July Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred and twenty four
at y.e parish afd in y.e County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court did
Commit fornication with a Certain person to y.e Jurors afd unknown & Did
permit the Same unknown person then and there to have Carnal knowledge
of her Body and to begett then and there a Bastard Child on the Body of her
the same Ann Spray to the high Displeasure of Almighty God to the
Evill Example of all others in Such Case offending Contrary to the peace
of the s.d Lord prop.ry that now is his good rule and Government and against
the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made &c.a
