275 Case made and provided Wherefore the Same Attorney of the s.d Lord prop.ry for the Same Lord prop.ry prayeth the Advice of the Court here in the premisses and Due process of Law in this part to be made against the afd William to Answer unto the s.d Lord prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a T francis Cler. pac. Test Alice Brown And the afd William Coursey in his proper person Comes and Saith that he Can not gainsay the Information afd so as afd against him Brought nor Can he say but that he is guilty of y.e premisses above upon him Imposed as by the afd Information it is alledged and thereupon Submits to y.e Court Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court house in the Town of Chester in Kent County this twentyeth Day of June Anno Dom. 1727 that the s.d William Coursey pay the Sume of thirty Sh^i^llings Current money of Maryland as a fine for his afd offence of Committing fornication in form afd Confest Also it is Considered that he pay the Sume of three hundred and forty five pounds of Tobacco Costs Accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court Jam.s Smith Clk Ordered by the Court here that y.e afd William Coursey Enter into Recogniz.c with Good Security for to keep this County of Kent Cleare from all Charges that may accrue by occasion of the afd Alice Browns Child Thereupon William Coursey and George Wilson Both of this County acknowledge themselves Indebted in the Sume of five thousand pounds of Tobacco ^for y.e use of this County of Kent^ Conditionally that if the s.d William Coursey Shall not keep the County Cleare from all Charges that may accrue by occasion of the afd Alice Browns Child wherewith they are both Content Alice Brown haveing entered into Recognizance at last Court for her app.rc at this Court as an Evid.c for his Lordship against the s.d W.m Coursey and now at this Court y.e s.d Alice appeareing ordered that her Recognizance and her Suretys Recog.c be Discharged Alice Brown of Kent County Spinster at last Court as afd Acknowledged herself Indebted unto y.e Lord prop.ry of this province of Maryland in the Sume of five pounds Sterling be Leveyed of her Goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if She Should not make her personal appearance before the Justices of this Court as an Evid.c for his Lordship against the s.d W.m Coursey and now at this Court to wit y.e 20.th Day of June Anno Dom. 1727 y.e s.d Alice haveing appeared her Recognizance is Discharged also Robert Brown of Kent County planter at last Court as afd Acknowledged himself Indebted unto the Lord prop.ry of this province of Maryland in the |
