CHAP. 34.

investigate the affairs of said corporation, and to make out
a report thereof in writing, which report shall he laid be-
fore the members of said corporation, at a general meeting
to be called, and proper notice given by and at the discre-
tion of the directors.

Transfer of stock.

Sect. 7. And be it enacted, That the stock in the Pataps-
co Savings Institution may be transferred by the holder or
holders in person or by power of attorney, but no stock-
holder who is a debtor to said Institution, shall be permit-
ted to transfer his stock until such debt be paid or other-
wise secured, to the satisfaction of the directors.

Dividends.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of
the directors on the first Saturday of January next, and on
the first Saturday of January and July of each and every
year thereafter, to make and declare a dividend of the in-
terests and profits of said corporation after paying its ex-
penses, and the same to pay over to depositors, or their le-
gal representatives within ten days thereafter.

Rights of inspec-

tion reserved

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That the concerns of the In-
stitution hereby intended to be incorporated, shall be at
all times subject to the inspection of the Treasurer of the
Western Shore, or of such other officer or agent of the
State as may be selected for that purpose, by either branch
of the Legislature.

Limit of the act to

1845

Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That this act shall continue
and be in force until the year eighteen hnndred and forty-
five, and until the end of the session of the General Assem-
bly next thereafter.


CHAPTER 34.

Passed Feb. 9, 1833

An act to authorise the Trustees of Saint Patrick's Church,
in the city of Baltimore, to hold certain property.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, the Trustees of Saint Patrick's Church in
the city of Baltimore, have represented to this General As-
sembly that the burial ground attached to the said church
is too small for the congregation; And whereas, the said
Trustees have also represented to this General Assembly,
that for many years past, the congregation worshiping at
the said church, have by their voluntary contributions sup-
ported a free school situate on Fell's Point, in the said
city, for the education of the poor children attached to the
said congregation, and those living in the vicinity; and the
