CHAP. 283.
|
Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the said Inspector shall
be entitled to receive twelve and a half cents for each ton
he may inspect, in virtue of this act.
|

Penalty for selling
without inspection
|
Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That if any person or persons
in the city of Baltimore, shall sell, or offer for sale, any
Plaister Paris, unless the same shall have ben inspected,
he or they shall forfeit and pay for each and every offence
the sum of five dollars, for each and every ton so sold or
offered for sale, and in proportion for any less quantity, to
be recovered before a Justice of the Peage, one half for the
use of the informer, and the other half for the use of the
State.

Deputy inspectors
|
Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the said Inspector, be,
and he is hereby authorized and required to appoint as ma-
ny Deputies as he may deem necessary to carry into effect
the provisions of this act, who, as such, shall be required
to make the oath or affirmation above prescribed, and for
whose official acts the said Inspector shall, in all respects,
be liable.

An act to Divorce Ann Harman of the City of Baltimore,
from her husband Henry Harman.
|
|
|
Divorce granted.
|
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Ann Harman, of the city of Baltimore,
be, and she is hereby divorced from her husband Henry
Harman, a mensa et thoro, and that any property to be here-
after acquired by her shall not be liable for any contracts or
debts of his, but shall enure to her sole use and benefit, as
if she had never been married to him.

Guardianship.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Ann Harman,
be, and she is hereby declared to be entitled to the custody
and guardianship of her children by her marriage with said
