Passed Mar.10, 1833

CHAPTER 250.

An act to authorize the Justices of the Levy Court, of Som-
erset county, to allow additional compensation to Joshua
Brattan, late Sheriff of said county, for elections held
therein.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Justices of the Levy Court of Somerset county, be,
and they are hereby authorized to allow to Joshua Brattan,
late Sheriff of the said county, such additional compensa-
tion for elections held therein, during the time of his sher-
iffalty, as they, in their discretion, shall deem to be just and
proper, according to usage in similar cases, and to levy the
same upon the assessable property of the said county, to be
collected and paid as other public charges are collected
and paid.


CHAPTER 251.

Passed Mar. 16, 1833

A supplement to the act oj eighteen hundred and thirty, chap-
ter one hundred and sixty, entitled, "An act to extend the
powers of the Commissioners of the School Fund in Queen
Anne's county, and to encourage the establishment of Free
Schools in said county.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That Arthur E. Sudler, Dr. Jonathan Crane, Daniel
C. Hopper, William Grayson, and Rodrick Earickson, be,
and they are hereby constituted a board of Commissioners

vacancies which shall, from time to time, occur in said
board, shall, on notification thereof being given by said
board to the orphans' court of said county, be filled by said
court, so that, at all times, the said board shall be compos-
ed of one commissioner from each election District.

missioners shall meet in the Town of Centreville, four times
a year, viz: on the first Monday in April, the first Monday in
