said notice, sealed proposals to be presented to them for
furnishing the same, and they shall make the said contract
with such person or persons, as shall propose to furnish
the said provisions on the terms most favorable to the'in-
stitution.

CHAP. 210.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That no contract for the sup-
ply or victualling of the penitentiary, shall be made by the
execulive committee with any director thereof, unless the
said committee shall have first given notice in all the daily
newspapers published in the city of Baltimore, for one
week; that they will receive sealed proposals to furnish the
supply or victualling required; nor unless the proposal of
the direector with whom any contract may be made shall
offer to furnish the supply required, and setting forth the
quantity and quality of the same, upon the most favorable
terms, and shall make, his offer in the manner that shall
be prescribed in said notice, for making all proposals; and

every, director befere he acts as such, shall swear or af-
firm that he will not contract with said committee contra-
ry to law, and a certificate of said oath, shall be deposited
with the clerk of Baltimore city court; and any direcrtor
knowingly swearing or affirming falsely in the premises,
and being thereof convict in due course of law, shall suffer

provision contained in the original act, and its supple-
ments inconsistent with this act, is hereby abrogated and
annulled.

An act to Divorce Ann Elisabeth Amanda Christiana Arm-
strong, from her husband Henry Armstrong, of Saint
Mary's county.

Passed, Mar 10,1833

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Ann Elizabeth Amanda Christiana Arm-
strong, be henceforth divorced from her husband Henry
Armstrong, of Saint Mary's county, and the marriage here-
tofore had and solemnized between them, is declared to be
henceforth and forever null and void, and they are hereby
declared to be mutually released from all and every duty
and obligation, and benefit and advantage growing out,
and in consequence of the said marriage, and the said
Ann Elizabeth Amanda Christiana Armstrong, is hereby
declared to be divorced a vinculo matrimonii.
