CHAP. 186.

ments, whereof the said William George Read and So-
phia Catharine are seized in right of the said Sophia Ca-
tharine, or of any interest therein, in which agreement the
said Sophia Catharine may hereafter join with her said
husband, shall be good and available to all purposes, in
the law whatsoever, as though the said Sophia Catharine
had been discovert and sole at the time of her executing

Proviso

the same; provided, that all such agreements be executed
and acknowledged by the said Sophia Catharine according
to the laws of Maryland, in force at the time, regulating
conveyances of the estates of femes covert.

An an relating to Vine street, in the city of Baltimore.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That on the application in writing by the proprietors, or
if any of the proprietors be minors, by the guardians of
such proprietors, of the greater part of the ground neces-
sary to be taken for the purpose, the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore be, and is hereby authorised to open,
extend, and grade, all that part of Vine street in the city
of Baltimore, which lies between Cove street and Pine
street as laid out under and by virtue of the acts of De-
cember session, eighteen hundred and sixteen, chapter
two hundred and eighteen, and of December session,

eighteen hundred and seventeen, chapter one hundred and
forty-eight; Provided however, that in all respects except
the necessity of having the assent of the proprietors of
two-thirds of the property to be taken as aforesaid, the
provisions of said acts be complied with and in force as
to the said opening, extending and grading of said part
of Vine street.
