and the same to pay over to the depositors, or their legal
representatives, within ten days ; thereafter.

CHAP. 177.

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That the concerns of the
Institution hereby intended to be incorporated, shall be at
all times subject to the inspection of the Treasurer of the
Western Shore, or of such other officer or agent of the
State as may be selected for that purpose by either branch
of the Legislature.

Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That this act shall be and
continue in force until the year eighteen hundred arid forty-
five, and until the end of the first General Assembly that
shall happen thereafter.

CHAPTER 177.


A supplement to an act, entitled, an act to blend New Town
(Trap) and New Freedom, in Frederick county, into one,
by the name of Jefferson, and to establish boundaries of
Lots by Commissioners, and to incorporate the same, pas-
sed at December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-one,
chapter two hundred and ninety-nine.

Passed Mar. 12, 1833

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Commissioners elected in pursuance
of the act to which this is a supplement, before they act
as such, shall take an oath or affirmation, as the case may
be, before some justice of the peace, in and for Frederick
county, that they will faithfully, and honestly to the best of
their skill and judgment, exercise the powers given, and
discharge the duties required of them, by the act to which
this is a supplement, as Commissioners of Jefferson, im-
partially, and without favour or resentment to any, and
without delay.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts and proceed-
ings, which have been done by the said Commissioners, as
Commissioners of Jefferson, shall be as valid, and have
the same effect and operation in law, as if the said Com-
missioners had been properly qualified.
