CHAPTER 170.

Passed Mar. 13,1833

An act to exempt certain persons from serving as Jurors.

Justice of orphans

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this
act, the justices of the Orphans' Courts of the several coun-
ties, be and they are hereby exempt from serving as jurors
in all cases whatsoever.

Unlawful to sum-

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall not here-
after be lawful for the several sheriffs of this State, or any
other person, to summon either of the justices of the Or-
phans' Court of the several counties of this State, to serve
as a juror in any case whatsoever.


CHAPTER 171.

Passed Mar. 13, 1833

An act to make public the road therein mentioned.

Declared public

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the new road in Anne Arundel county, leading from
the bridge lately built over Patapsco river by William
Krebs, at the place called Cromwell's Point, until it in-
tersects the road leading to Annapolis, commonly called
the lower ferry road, be and the same is hereby declared to
be public forever hereafter, and shall be kept in repair as
other county roads in said county.


CHAPTER 172.

Passed Mar.13,1833

An act to prevent playing Long Bullets, in or near Creamer's
Town, in Frederick County.

Penalty for play-

ing

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
any person or persons, who shall be found playing at long
bullets in Creager's-town, in Frederick county, or within half
a mile of said town, shall forfeit and pay a sum of money
not exceeding five dollars, for every such offence, at the
discretion of the justice of the peace trying the same, the
one half to the informer, the other half to the collector of
the county aforesaid, to be applied to the use and benefit
