An act to divorce Juliana Donaldson from her husband

Divorce granted
|
Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Julian Donaldson of Cecil county, be
and she is hereby divorced from bed, board, and mutual
cohabitation with her husband William B Donaldson, and
that the said Juliana Donaldson be, and she is hereby au-
|
|
|
Guardianship
|
thorised and empowered, to retain in her own care, her
children by the said William B Donaldson, and to act in
|
|
|
Proviso
|
all cases,whatsoever as if she were a feme sole, Provided
always, That this act shall not be construed so as to au-
thorise the said William B Donaldson, or Juliana Donald-
son to contract marriage, while the said parties are both
living
|

Sec 2 And be it enacted, That the said William B
Donaldson shall not, by virtue of his marriage with the
said Julianna Donaldson, be in any manner entitled to, or
authonsed to have or claim, any property, real, personal,
or mixed, which the said Juhanna Donaldson may here-
after acquire by gift, descent, devise, or purchase

Sec 3 And be it enacted, That the said Julianna Do-
naldson shall not be, in any manner entitled to any pro-
perty , real, personal, or mixed, which the said William B
Donaldson may hereafter acquire by gift, descent, dense,
or purchase nor shall the said William B Donaldson be
liable for the debts to be contracted by the said Julianna
Donaldson

An act to change the name of James Michael, of Harford
county, to that of James Johnson
|

Name changed.
|
Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, Tliat the name of the said James Michael is
hereby changed and altered into the name of James John-
son, and it shall and may be lawful for the said James Mi-
chael, at all times hereafter, to be called and known by, and
hold and use the name of James Johnson, and by that name
|

to sue and be sued in any court of law and equity and it
shall and may be lawful for the issue of the said James Mi-
|
