same collected as other county levies are, and made paya-
ble to the aforesaid Otho Scott, Esquire, his heirs or as-
signs; and that the same when received by him or them
shall be so much in discharge of the debt due him from
the county, for the property purchased of him by the trus-
tees of the poor for said county, the same being for the use
of the poor.

CHAPTER 136.


An act for building a Bridge over Deer Creek in Harford
County.

Passed Mar. 4, 1833

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Henry McAtee, Alexander Rigdon and
Thomas Clark be, and they are hereby appointed Com-
missioners to fix upon a site at or near Clarksford on Deer
Creek, for building a Bridge over said Creek; and the said
Commissioners are hereby authorised to erect, or cause to
be erected, a good and substantial Bridge with two strong
abutments and one pier, to be raised sufficiently high to
save the bridge in time of freshets, the bridge to be weather
boarded and covered with shingles, and done in a work-

manlike manner, and for a sum not exceeding six hundred
dollars.

Price limited.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Commissioners of
Harford County are hereby authorised and required to
levy upon the assessable property of their county at their
next County levy, the sum of three hundred dollars, and in
eighteen hundred and thirty-four a further sum of three
hundred dollars, and have the same collected as other
county levies are, and made payable to the said bridge
Commissioners.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the said bridge Com-
missioners shall keep a fair and accurate account of their

shall be any thing left after the same is finished, and the
abutments filled in, they shall pay the same over to the
County Commissioners, to be by them applied to the use
of the county: a majority of the said bridge Commission-
