CHAP. 130.
|
the damages so ascertained shall be so levied and assessed
as other-county charges, in said counties are, and shall be
paid by the county wherein such damages may be sus-
tained.
|

|
|
Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Commission-
ers, before they proceed to act, shall take an oath or affir-
mation, before some Justice of the Peace, that they will,
without favour, partiality, or prejudice, assess the damages
sustained by the persons through whose land the said Road
may pass.

An act for the valuation of Real and Personal Properly in
Baltimore county, out of the Limits of the City.
|
|
|
|
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Commissioners of Baltimore county
shall be, and they are hereby authorised and empowered to
to cause all the real and personal property in Baltimore
county, without the limits of the city of Baltimore to be
valued, and such valuation shall be made in the manner
provided by the act of Assembly, passed at November ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and twelve, chapter one hundred
and ninety-one, entitled, "An act for the valuation of real
and personal property in the several counties of this state,"
except where otherwise directed or authorised by this act,
and the better to enable the said Commissioners to effect

the objects and purposes of this act, they are hereby inves-
ted with all the powers granted to or vested in the Com-
missioners of the tax for Baltimore county by the said act.

Compensation
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Commission-
ers may divide the county into such and so many assess-
ment districts for the purpose of making the said valua-
tion, and appoint so many assessors for making the same,
and allow each of them such compensation in just pro-

ment districts, remove or dismiss from office any assessor
for improper conduct or neglect of duty, and appoint
