CHAP. 129.

of a feme sole, except that of marrying again during the
life time of the said Arthur M. Rodgers, in the same man-
ner she would have been if she had never been married.

Guardianship.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Lucinda
Rodgers be, and she is hereby declared to be entitled to
the custody and guardianship of her child during the min-
ority of the same.

Liability annulled.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the said Arthur M.
Rodgers shall not be liable for any debt to be hereafter
contracted by the said Lucinda Rodgers.


CHAPTER 128.

Passed Mar.4, 1833

A further additional supplement to an act, entitled, "An act
for Quieting Possessions, Enrolling Conveyances, and se-
curing the Estates oj Purchasers."

Deed confirmed in
certain cases.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all deeds or instruments of writing, which have been
taken, executed, and acknowledged, within this State, since
the first day of September last, which may not have been
certified by the takers of the acknowledgments of said deeds
or instruments of writing, as required by the act of Decem-
ber session, eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chapter two
hundred and five, be, and the same are hereby confirmed
and made valid, to all intents and purposes; Provided, That
in all other respects, the act, entitled, "An act for quieting
possessions, enrolling conveyances, and securing the es-
tates of purchasers," and the several supplements thereto,
have been complied with.


CHAPTER 129.

Passed Mar. 4, 1833

An act to lay out and open a new Road in Frederick and
Baltimore Counties.

Commissioner to

open road.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Isaac Shriver, Alexander McIlhenny, and
Benjamin Gorsuch, be, and the same are hereby appointed
Commissioners, to survey, lay out, and open a Road, not
