CHAPTER 119.

CHAP. 121.

An act to authorise the Commissioners of Washington coun-
ty, to appoint three persons to assess damages unto
persons therein named, and other purposes therein men-
tioned.

Passed Mar.7, 1833

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Commissioners of Washington county, are here-
by authorised and required to appoint three discreet and
disinterested persons, to go upon the premises of John
Fridly, George Itneyer, Joseph Ingram, John Bownan,
Anna Gantz, John John, Frederick Woolf an d John Hut-
zel, and upon oath assess the damages sustained by them
in their properties, in opening a road in said county, lead-
ing from Cavetown to Boonsborough, and to authorise and
require the said Commissioners to levy upon the taxable
property of said county a sum sufficient to pay the same.

CHAPTER 120.


An ad to regulate the weighing of Hay and Straw, in this
Stale.

Passd Mar 4,1833

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the first day of May next
all hay and straw which may be sold by weight in this state,
shall be sold by the nett hundred, and every twenty hun-
dred pounds nett weight shall be considered a ton.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws inconsistent
with, or repugnant to the provisions of this act, be, and
the same are hereby repealed.

An act giving compensation to Jurors, in cases of forcible
entry and detainer.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That in all cases of forcible entry and detainer
which Jurors shall be summoned to try, each and every
