The Same
@    Somerset to wit Be it Remembred that William Hayward Gent Attry of the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that now is
Isabell Stuart    who for the Same Lord Propry in this part Prosecuteth doth Come here into the County Court of the Same Lord Propry held
for Somerset County to wit at Princes Ann Town in the Same County the 16th day of June in the Year of our Lord God one thousand
Seven hundred and Sixty One before Isaac Handy Esqr. and his Associates the Said Lord Propry his Justices of the Same County Court &
for the Same Lord Propry doth Give the Same Justices here to understand and be Informed that Isabella Stuart Late of Somerset
Parish in the County afd. Spinster on the thirteenth day of June in the Year afd. with force and Arms at the parish afd. in the
County afd. in and upon a Certain Margery Willen in the peace of God and the Said Lord Propry then and there being an
Assault did Make and her the Said Margery then and there did beat Wound and Ill treat So that of her Life it was much
dispaired and Other Wrongs to the Said Margery then and there did to the Great Damage of the Said Margery and Against
the peace of the Said Lord Propry his Good Rule and Government And Whereupon the Same Attry of the Same Lord Propry
for the Same Lord Propry Prays Advice of the Court here in the premisses and that due process of Law may in this part be
made Against the Said Isabell to Answer of and upon the Premisses and So forth
           Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said Isabell
Stuart if &c. to Answer &c.
                          And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday
of June and Year afd. before the Justices thereof Came the afd. Isabella Stuart in her proper person According to a Certain
Recognizance by her and her Security in that part before Acknowledged and had a hearing of the Information afd. Saith
that she Cannot deny will not Contend with his Lordship but for Saveing Costs Labour and Expence about the
premisses the Said Isabell Submits at fine with his Said Lordship and put herself upon favour of the Court &c
           Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is Considered by the
Court here that the afd. Isabell Stuart for the premisses and Offence afd. in the Information afd. Above Specified be taken &c
which Said Isabell Stuart present here in Court as afd. is fined for the premisses and offence afd. the Sum of five Shillings
Curt Money which She paid here in Court to the Sheriff for the use of his Lordship &c.

Cat. Venables Sr    Propry that now is who for the Same Lord Propry in this part Prosecuteth doth Come here into the County Court of the
Same Lord Propry held for Somerset County to wit at Princes Ann Town in the Same County the Sixteenth day of June in the Year
of our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One Before Isaac Handy Esqr. and his Associates the Said Lord Propry his
Justices of the Same County Court and for the Same Lord Propry doth Give the Same Justices here to understand and be Informed
that Cate Venables Late of Stepney Parish in the County afd. on the tenth day of May and Year afd. with force and Arms at the
Parish afd. in the County afd. in and upon a Certain Catherine Venables Jur. in the peace of God and the Said Lord Propry then and
there being an Assault did Make and her the Said Catherine then and there did beat Wound and Ill treat so that of her Life
it was Much Dispaired and other Wrongs to the Said Cate Jur. then and there did to the Great damage of the Said Catherine Jur.
And Against the Peace of the Said Lord Propry his good Rule and Government And Whereupon the Same Attry of the Same
