@	Somerset to wit    Be it Remembred that William Hayward Gent Attorney of the Right Honrble the Lord
Cat. Venables Sr	Propry that now is who for the Same Lord Propry in this part Prosecuteth doth Come here into the County Court of the

Same Lord Prop^ry held for Somerset County to wit at Princes Ann Town in the Same County the Sixteenth day of June in the Year
of our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One Before Isaac Handy Esq^r. and his Associates the Said Lord Prop^ry his
Justices of the Same County Court and for the Same Lord Prop^ry doth Give the Same Justices here to understand and be Informed
that Cat^e Venables Late of Stepney Parish in the County af^d. on the tenth day of May and Year af^d. with force and Arms at the
Parish af^d. in the County af^d. in and upon a Certain Catherine Venables Ju^r. in the peace of God and the Said Lord Prop^ry then and
there being an Assault did Make and her the Said Catherine then and there did beat Wound and Ill treat so that of her Life
it was Much Dispaired and other Wrongs to the Said Cat^e Ju^r. then and there did to the Great damage of the Said Catherine Ju^r.
And Against the Peace of the Said Lord Prop^ry his good Rule and Government And Whereupon the Same Att^ry of the Same
Lord Prop^ry for the Same Lord Prop^ry Prays Advice of the Court here in the Premisses and that due Process of Law may in this part
be made Against the Said Cat^e Se^r. to Answer of and upon the premisses and So forth
           Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said Catherine Venables Sen^r if &^c.
to Answer &^c.       And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of June and Year af^d.
before the Justices thereof Came the af^d. Catherine Venables in her Proper Person According to a Certain Recognizance by her and her
Security in that part before Acknowledged and had a hearing of the Information af^d. Saith that She will not Contend with his Said
Lordship but for the Saveing Costs Labour and Expences about the Premisses Submit her Self at fine with his Said Lordship and
put herself upon favour of the Court    Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it
is Considered by the Court here that the af^d. Cat^e. Venables Se^r. for the premisses and Offence af^d. in the Information af^d. Above Specified
be taken which Said Catherine Venables present here in Court in her Proper Person is fined for the Premisses and Offence af^d. the
Sum of One Shilling Cur^t Money which She paid here in Court to the Sheriff for the use of his Lordship &^c
