June Court 1761 87 Lord Propry that now is his good Rule and Government and Against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and Provided &c Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Ann Fasque if She Should be found in his Bailywick and her Should Safe keep so that he might have her body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of June Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One to Answer unto his Said Lordship of and Concerning the Indictment afd Att which day here Came the afd. Ann Fasque in her Proper Person and had a hearing of the Indictment afd. Saith that She Cannot deny but that She is Guilty of the Premisses in the Indictment afd. Above upon her Imposed in Manner and form as by the Indictment afd. Above Against her Supposed and Maketh Oath that a Certain Edward Bremigem is the father of the Bastard Child She Stands Indicted for and is Willing to pay her fine for the Same &c Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is Considered by the Court here that the afd. Ann Fasque for the Premisses and Offence afd. in the Indictment afd. Above Specified be taken &c. Which Said Ann Fasque present here in Court as afd. is fined for the Premisses and Offence afd. thirty Shillings Curt Money of Maryland which She paid here in Court to the use of the County &c.
Lord God one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One Before Isaac Handy Esqr. and Others Associates the Said Lord Propry his Justices of the Same County Court and for the Same Lord Propry doth Give the Same Justices here to understand and be Informed that James Hayman Late of Stepney Parish in the County afd. Planter on the Twenty Ninth day of March in the Year of our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred Sixty and One with Force and Arms at the Parish afd. in the County afd. in and upon a Certain Charles Hayman in the peace of God and the Said Lord Propry then and there being an Assault did Make and him the Said Charles then and there did Beat Wound and Ill treat so that of his Life it was Much Dispaired and other Wrongs to the Said Charles then and there did to the Great Damage of the Said Charles and Against the peace of the Said Lord Propry his Good Rule and Government And Whereupon the Same Attry of the Same Lord Propry for the Same Lord Propry prays Advice of the Court here in the Premisses and that due Process of Law may in this part be made Against the Said James to Answer of and upon the Premisses and So forth Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that Immediately he Should Take the Said James Hayman if &c. to Answer &c. And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the Third Tuesday of August and Year afd. before the Justices thereof Came the afd. James Hayman in his Proper Person and had a hearing of the Information afd. Saith that he will not Contend with his Said Lordship but for the Saveing Costs Labour and Expences About the Premisses Submits himself at fine with his Said Lordship by Occasion of the Premisses and put himself upon the favour of the Court Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is Considered by the Court here that the afd. James Hayman for the Premisses and offence afd. in the Information afd. above Specified be taken &c. Which Said James Hayman present here in Court as afd. is fined for the Premisses and offence afd. One Shilling Curt Money of Maryland which he paid here in Court to the Sheriff of the County for the use of his Lordship &c
there being an Assault did make and her the Said Ann then and there did beat Wound and Evilly treat So that of her Life it was Much dispaired and other harms to her the Said Ann then and there did to the Great damage of the Said Ann and Against the Peace of his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that now is his good Rule and Government and So forth Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that Immediately he Should Take the Said John Roberson if &c. To Answer &c. And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of June And Year afd. before the Justices thereof Came the afd. John Roberson in his Proper Person According to A Certain Recognizance by him in that Part before Acknowledged and had a hearing of the Indictment afd. Saith |
