day of October in the year of our Lord God 1760 Before us Samuel Addams and Teague Riggen Commissioners Appointed
by the Worshipfull the Justices of Somerset County Court to Examine Evidences in Relation to the Bounds of the
tract of Land Called Greenfield or Any other Lands on which the Same may depend in the County afd. and we
being Qualified to Execute the Same Commission and Notice Given Agreable to the Act of Assembly in Such
made and provided &c.
Somerset To wit    The Deposition of Capn. Henry Schoolfield Aged Sixty years or there About being Sworn on the
holy Evangelist of Almighty Deposeth as followeth that Some years Ago this Deponant was present when Stevens
White and Alexander Maddox Settled a Bounder Between the afd. Stevens White and the afd. Alexander Maddox by
Both the parties Concent and the afd. Alexander Maddox, Levin Powell, William Benson and Thomas Benson
haveing all part of the tract of Land Called Greenfield in their Possession and the Said Greenfield Calling on the Line of
the Land that then was in possession of the Said Stevens White Agreed to Settle a bounder for the Second Bounder of the
tract of Land Called Greenfield in a North Course and About Twenty five poles from the Bounder that this Deponant
Saw Settled Between the afd. Stevens White and the afd. Alexander Maddox and for the first bounder of the tract of
Land Called Greenfield it being decayed the fore mentioned persons to witt Alexander Maddox, Levin Powell, Wm. Benson
and Thomas Benson all Agreed to Reverse the Corse from the post Then Set up for the Second Bounder of the tract of
Land Called Greenfield One hundred and fifty poles East which Corse went into the Swamp of Pocomoke River
About Thirty Six poles where the fourmentioned persons to witt Alexander Maddox, Levin Powell, William Benson
and Thomas Benson all Agreed to Settle a marked post for the first bounder of the tract of Land Called Greenfield and
Accordingly the post was Set up with the Consent afd. and further this Deponant Saith not
Somerset to witt    The Deposition of Henry Schoolfield Junr. Aged thirty Six Years or thereabout Being Sworn on the holy
Evangelist of Almighty God Deposeth as follows that Some years Ago he was present when the post was Set up
Between the afd. Stevens White and the Said Alexander Maddox which is Discribed in Capn. Henry Schoolfield Deposition
and all persons was Agreed to the Seting up of the Same that was Concerned and further this Deponant Saith not
Somerset to wit    The Deposition of John Tompson Aged forty Years or there About being Sworn on the holy Evangelist of
Almighty God Deposeth as follows that Some Years Ago he was present when the post was Set up Between the afd. Stevens
White And the Said Alexander Maddox which is Discribed in Capn. Henry Schoolfield Deposition and all persons was
Agreed to the Seting up of the Same that was Concerned and further this Deponant Saith not
      The above Depositions was taken the day and Year Above Written by us the Subscribers as Witness our hands and
      Seals

John Goslin    Somerset fst Frederick Absolute Lord and Propry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron
Commission    of Baltemore &c. To Louther Dashiell, Thomas Dashiell, Tubman Lowes and Jonathan Bounds of Somerset
County Gent. Greeting know ye that we have Appointed You or Any three or two of you to be our Commissioners to
Examine Evidences on behalf of a Certain John Goslin of Somerset County in Relation to the Bounds of a tract of Land
Called Sand Ridge We therefore Require you or Any three or two of you at Some time and place as to You or Any three
or two of you it Shall Seem Convenient you meet on the afd. Land Called Sand Ridge You first haveing taken your Oaths
on the holy Evangels of Almighty God and there Cause to Come before you or Any three or two of you all Such Evidences
as Shall be to You or Any three or two of you Nominated by the Said Complainant or Deft. and that you or Any three or
two of you Examine them upon their Corporal Oaths to be by you or Any three or two of you Administred on the holy
Evangels of Almighty God in the presence of the Complainant or Deft. if Any Touching the truth or Remembrance
of their knowledge or Any thing that may Relate to the Cause afd. and that Reduceing the Severall Depositions
into Writing you Send the Same with this our Commission under your or Any three or two of your hands and Seals
to us to our County Court of Somerset with all Convenient Speed Wittness Thomas Hayward Esqr Chief Justice of
our Said Court the 22d day of June Anno Dom. 1758
   And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of March Anno Dom. 1761
before the Justices thereof Came Louther Dashiell and Thomas Dashiell Two of the Gentlemen Nominated in the
within Commission and Returned the Same Endorsed in Manner following
Aug. 22d. 1758 This day was the within mentioned Louther Dashiell and Thomas Dashiell Qualified before
me the Subscriber to Execute the within Commission Agreeable to the power and Authority therein Given them
