body and a Bastard Child on the body of her the Said Sarah then and there to beget to the high displeasure of Almighty
God to the Evil Example of all Others in Such Case Offending Contrary to the peace of the Said Lord Propry that now is his
Good Rule and Government And Against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided and So forth
And Whereupon the Same Attorney of the Same Lord Propry for the Lord Propry prays Advice of the Court here in the
premisses and that due process of Law may in this part be made Against the Said Sarah to Answer of and upon the
premisses and So forth
      Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Sarah Dashiell if &c
to Answer &c. And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann the third Tuesday of March and Year
afd. before the Justices thereof Came the afd. Sarah Dashiell in her proper person According to A Certain Recognizance by her
and Security in that part before Acknowledged and had a hearing of the Information afd. Saith that She Cannot deny but that
She is Guilty of the premisses in the Information afd. Above upon her Imposed in Manner and form as by the Information
Afd. Above Against her Supposed and Maketh Oath that a Certain William Brown is the father of the Child She
Stands Informed Against and is willing to pay her fine for the Same &c.
           Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is Considered by the Court
here that the afd. Sarah Dashiell for the Premisses and Offence afd. in the Information afd. Above Specified be taken &c. which
Said Sarah Dashiell present here in Court as afd. is fined for the premisses and Offence afd. thirty Shillings Curt Money of
Maryland which She paid here in Court to the use of the County &c.

@    Somerset to wit The Jurors for his Lordhsip the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that now is for the body of Somerset
Wm. Brown    County upon their Oath present that William Brown Late of Stepney Parish in the County afd. planter on the first
day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty at the Parish afd. in the County afd. did Commit
Fornication with a Certain Sarah Dashiell And a Bastard Child on the body of her the Said Sarah Dashiell then and
there did beget to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil Example of all Others in Such Case Offending Against the
peace of the Said Lord Propry that now is his Good Rule and Government And Against the form of the Act of Assembly
in Such Case made and provided and So forth

Against him Supposed and is willing to pay his fine for the Same &c.    Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being
Seen and by the Court fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the afd. William Brown present here in Court as afd.
is fined for the premisses and Offence afd. thirty Shillings Curt Money of Maryland which he paid here in Court to the use
of the County &c.    Whereupon the Said William Brown is Ordered to give Security to Save and keep Indemnified the
Justices of Somerset County Court and their Successors from all troubles burthens and Charges that might Accrew by means of
the Birth and Maintainance of the Child afd.    Thereupon the Said a Certain John Carmichael of Somerset County planter
present here in Court in his proper person undertook for the Said William Brown and Acknowledged himself Indebted
unto his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry in thirty Pounds Curt Money of Maryland of his body Goods or Chattles
Lands or tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made and Levied to the use of the Inhabitants of Somerset County for the
time being if it happen that the afd. William Brown his heirs Exrs. or Admrs. or Any or Either of them do not from time to
time and at all times hereafter Acquit Discharge and Save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court
for the time being as also the Inhabitants of Said County of and from all Costs Charges & troubles whatsoever for or by Reason
of the birth maintainance nourishing and bringing up of the Said Child and of and from all other Suits troubles and
Demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the Same &c.

Samuel Wilson    upon their Oath present that Thomas Hayward Junr. Late of Somerset Parish in the County afd. Gent. on the Twenty
fourth day of February in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One at the parish afd. in the County
afd. with force and Arms in and upon a Certain Samuel Wilson in the peace of God and the Said Lord Propry then and there
being an Assault did make and him the Said Samuel then and there did beat wound and Evilly treat so that of his Life it was
