@	Somerset to wit The Jurors for his Lordhsip the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that now is for the body of Somerset
Wm. Brown	County upon their Oath present that William Brown Late of Stepney Parish in the County afd. planter on the first

day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty at the Parish af^d. in the County af^d. did Commit
Fornication with a Certain Sarah Dashiell And a Bastard Child on the body of her the Said Sarah Dashiell then and
there did beget to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil Example of all Others in Such Case Offending Against the
peace of the Said Lord Prop^ry that now is his Good Rule and Government And Against the form of the Act of Assembly
in Such Case made and provided and So forth
      Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said William Brown if &^c to
Answer &^c. And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of March Anno Dom. 1761
before the Justices thereof Came the af^d. William Brown in his proper person According to A Certain Recognizance by him &
his Security in that part before Acknowledged and had a hearing of the Indictment af^d. Saith that he Cannot deny but that he
is Guilty of the Premisses in the Indictment af^d. Above upon him Imposed in Manner and form as by the Indictment af^d. above
Against him Supposed and is willing to pay his fine for the Same &^c.    Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being
Seen and by the Court fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the af^d. William Brown present here in Court as af^d.
is fined for the premisses and Offence af^d. thirty Shillings Cur^t Money of Maryland which he paid here in Court to the use
of the County &^c.    Whereupon the Said William Brown is Ordered to give Security to Save and keep Indemnified the
Justices of Somerset County Court and their Successors from all troubles burthens and Charges that might Accrew by means of
the Birth and Maintainance of the Child af^d.    Thereupon the Said a Certain John Carmichael of Somerset County planter
present here in Court in his proper person undertook for the Said William Brown and Acknowledged himself Indebted
unto his Lordship the Right Hon^rble the Lord Prop^ry in thirty Pounds Cur^t Money of Maryland of his body Goods or Chattles
Lands or tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made and Levied to the use of the Inhabitants of Somerset County for the
time being if it happen that the af^d. William Brown his heirs Ex^rs. or Adm^rs. or Any or Either of them do not from time to
time and at all times hereafter Acquit Discharge and Save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court
for the time being as also the Inhabitants of Said County of and from all Costs Charges & troubles whatsoever for or by Reason
of the birth maintainance nourishing and bringing up of the Said Child and of and from all other Suits troubles and
Demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the Same &^c.

Samuel Wilson	upon their Oath present that Thomas Hayward Junr. Late of Somerset Parish in the County afd. Gent. on the Twenty

fourth day of February in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One at the parish af^d. in the County
af^d. with force and Arms in and upon a Certain Samuel Wilson in the peace of God and the Said Lord Prop^ry then and there
being an Assault did make and him the Said Samuel then and there did beat wound and Evilly treat so that of his Life it was
