to Answer unto his Lordship of and Concerning the presentment afd. &c
           Att which day here Came the afd. Isabell Stuart by George Hayward hir Attorney and had a hearing of the
presentment afd. And the Same Attorney Saith that he Cannot deny but that the afd. Isabell is Guilty of the premisses
in the Presentment afd. Above upon here Imposed in Manner and form as by the Presentment afd. Above Against her
Supposed but will not discover the father of the Bastard Child afd. but is willing to pay a Double fine for the Same &c
      Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood It is Considered
by the Court here that the afd. Isabell Stuart for the premisses ad Offence afd. in the Information afd. Above Specified be
taken &c. Which Said Isabell Stuart is fined for the premisses and Offence afd. three pounds Curt Money of Maryland which
was paid here in Court to the use of the County &c.
           Whereupon the Said Isabell Stuart is ordered to give Security to Save and keep Indemnified the Justices of
Somerset County Court and their Successors from all troubles burthens and Charges that might Accrew by means of the birth and
maintainance of the Child afd.    Thereupon A Certain John Webb and Thomas Aikman of Somerset County her
Securitys both present here in Court in their proper persons undertook for the Said Isabell Stuart and Acknowledged themselves
Indebted unto his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry in thirty pounds Curt. Money of Maryland of their bodys
Goods or Chattles Lands or tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made and Levied to the use of the Inhabitants of

Somerset County for the time being ^ it happen that the afd. Isabell Stuart her heirs Exrs. Admrs. or Any or Either of them do
not from time to time and at all times hereafter Acquit discharge and Save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset
County Court for the time being as also the Inhabitants of Said County of and from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever
for or by Reason of the birth maintainance nourishing and bringing up of the Said Child and of and from all other
Suits troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the Same &c.

His Lordship
@    Somerset to wit The Jurors for the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that now is for the body of Somerset County
Jacob Crouch    upon their Oath present that Jacob Crouch late of Stepney parish in the Said County of Somerset planter the
Eighteenth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty nine at the parish afd. in the
County afd. within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Commit Fornication with a Certain Elizabeth Parr and a Bastard Child
on the body of the Said Elizabeth then and there did beget to the high Displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil Example of all
others in Such Case Offending Contrary to the peace of the Said Lord Propry that now is his good Rule and Government and
Against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case Lately made and provided and So forth
           Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said Jacob Crouch
if he Should be found in his Bailywick and him Should Safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of
his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town in and for the County afd. the third Tuesday
of March Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty one to Answer unto his Lordship of and Concerning
the Indictment afd. &c.       Att which day here Came the afd. Jacob Crouch in his proper person and had a hearing of
of the Indictment afd. Saith that he Cannot deny but that he is guilty of the premisses in the Indictment afd. Above
upon her Imposed in Manner and form as by the Indictment afd. Above Against him Supposed and is willing to
pay his fine for the Same &c.    Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is

Considered by the ^ afd. Jacob Crouch for the premisses and offence afd. in the Indictment afd. Above Specified be taken which Said
Jacob Crouch is fined for the premisses and Offence afd. thirty Shillings Curt Money which was paid here in Court to the use of
the County &c.         Whereupon the Said Jacob Crouch is Ordered to give Security to Save and keep Indemnified the
Justices of Somerset County Court and their Successors from all Costs troubles burthens and Charges that might Accrew by
means of the Birth and maintainance of the Child afd.    Thereupon a Certain the Said Jacob Crouch together with Jacob
Thorn of Somerset County his Security both present here in Court in their proper persons undertook for the Said Acknowledged
themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry in thirty pounds Curt Money of
Maryland of their bodys goods or Chattles Lands or tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made and Levied to
the use of the Inhabitants of Somerset County for the time being if it happen that the afd. Jacob Crouch his heirs Exrs.
Admrs. or Any or Either of them do not from time to time and at all times hereafter Acquit discharge and Save harmless
as well the Justices of Somerset County Court to the time being as also the Inhabitants of Said County of and from all
Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by Reason of the birth maintainance nourishing and bringing up of the
Said Child and of and from all Other Suits troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the Same &c.
