Jacob Crouch	upon their Oath present that Jacob Crouch late of Stepney parish in the Said County of Somerset planter the

Eighteenth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty nine at the parish af^d. in the
County af^d. within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Commit Fornication with a Certain Elizabeth Parr and a Bastard Child
on the body of the Said Elizabeth then and there did beget to the high Displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil Example of all
others in Such Case Offending Contrary to the peace of the Said Lord Prop^ry that now is his good Rule and Government and
Against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case Lately made and provided and So forth
           Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said Jacob Crouch
if he Should be found in his Bailywick and him Should Safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of
his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town in and for the County af^d. the third Tuesday
of March Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty one to Answer unto his Lordship of and Concerning
the Indictment af^d. &^c.       Att which day here Came the af^d. Jacob Crouch in his proper person and had a hearing of
of the Indictment af^d. Saith that he Cannot deny but that he is guilty of the premisses in the Indictment af^d. Above
upon her Imposed in Manner and form as by the Indictment af^d. Above Against him Supposed and is willing to
pay his fine for the Same &^c.    Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is

Considered by the ^ af^d. Jacob Crouch for the premisses and offence af^d. in the Indictment af^d. Above Specified be taken which Said
Jacob Crouch is fined for the premisses and Offence af^d. thirty Shillings Cur^t Money which was paid here in Court to the use of
the County &^c.         Whereupon the Said Jacob Crouch is Ordered to give Security to Save and keep Indemnified the
Justices of Somerset County Court and their Successors from all Costs troubles burthens and Charges that might Accrew by
means of the Birth and maintainance of the Child af^d.    Thereupon a Certain the Said Jacob Crouch together with Jacob
Thorn of Somerset County his Security both present here in Court in their proper persons undertook for the Said Acknowledged
themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Right Hon^rble the Lord Prop^ry in thirty pounds Cur^t Money of
Maryland of their bodys goods or Chattles Lands or tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made and Levied to
the use of the Inhabitants of Somerset County for the time being if it happen that the af^d. Jacob Crouch his heirs Ex^rs.
Adm^rs. or Any or Either of them do not from time to time and at all times hereafter Acquit discharge and Save harmless
as well the Justices of Somerset County Court to the time being as also the Inhabitants of Said County of and from all
Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by Reason of the birth maintainance nourishing and bringing up of the
Said Child and of and from all Other Suits troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the Same &^c.
