And upon a Certain William Hailey in the peace of God and the Said Lord Prop^ry then and there being an Assault did
make and him the Said William then and there did beat Wound and Evilly treat So that of his Life it was much
dispaired and Other harms to him the Said William then and there did to the Great Damage of him the Said William
And Against the peace of his Lordship the Right Hon^rble the Lord Prop^ry that now is his good Rule and Government
           Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said James Polk if he
Should be found in his Bailywick and him Should Safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his
Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town in and for the County af^d. the third Tuesday of March
Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One to Answer unto his Lordship of and Concerning the Indictment
af^d. &^c.    Att which Said Third Tuesday of March and Year af^d. Came the af^d. James Polk in his proper person and had a hearing
of the Indictment af^d. Saith he will not Contend whi with his Said Lordship but for the Saveing Costs Labour and Expences
About the premisses Submits himself at fine with his Said Lordship by Occasion of the premisses and put himself upon the
favour of the Court    Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being Seen and by the Court here fully understood it is
