March Court 1761 68 Good free and Lawfull men of the truth of the premisses afd. may be the Better known and who neither the afd. William Geddes nor the afd. Gilbert Hoffington touch by Any Affinity to Recognize upon their Oath of and upon the premisses afd. because as well the afd. William Geddes as the afd. Gilbert Hoffington have put themselves upon that Jury And the Same day is given to the parties afd. here &c. Att which day here Came as well the afd. William Geddes as the afd. Gilbert Hoffington by Attorney afd. Suggesting to the Court here their Attorneys afd. And the afd. Gilbert Hoffington by his ^ in the Said Cause of his who is now beyond the Seas without whom he Cannot Safely Come to tryall &c. And the Sheriff of the County afd. did not Send thereof the Writt &c. Therefore Command as before is given to the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Cause to Come before his Lordships Justices at the Next Court to be held at Princes Ann Town in and for the County afd. the third Tuesday of March then next following Twelve &c. by whom &c. and who neither &c. to Recognize in form afd. &c. Gilbert Hoffington by their Attorneys afd. And the Sheriff to witt John Dennis Gent Sheriffe of the County afd. Returned the afd. Writt of Veniry facias and the Names of the Jurors in all things Served and Executed And the Jurors of that Jury thereof Impanneled being Called Some of them to witt William Fleming, William Pollit, Marcy Beauchamp Michael Dorman, Zorobable King, William McClemey, William Heath, and William Revell, Came and were Sworn upon that Jury and because the Residue of the Jurors of that Same Jury did not Appear therefore other of the Bystanders by the Sheriff of the County afd. hereunto Elected and at the Request of the afd. William Geddes and by the Command of the afd. Justices are newly put on whose Names to the pannell within Writtin are filed According to the form of the Statute in Such Case made and provided which Same Jurors so newly put on that is to Say Stephen Horsey, John Anderson, Josephas Bell, and Abraham Outen, being Called Likewise Came who to Say the truth of the premisses afd. together with the Other Jurors afd. before Impanneled and Sworn being |
