Lycence to	his Proper person & prays that he may be permitted to keep an ordin:

Tavern	Town for the use and Conveniency of Travellers and Strangers as to ym.

giveing Se^ry as the Law Directs to keep good Rules and orders in his ordinary or house

Whereupon the said John Cox together with William Pollit and George Dashiell
of Somerset County Gentlemen his Se^rys all present here in Court in their proper
Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Right Hon^rble
the Lord Prop^ry of the Province of Maryland in Thirty Pounds Current money of s^d.
Province of their Bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and Tenements Joyntly and severally
to the use of his said Lordship his Heirs and successors to be made and Levied
if it happen that the said John Cox do not keep good Rules and orders & do suffer
Idle Loose and Disorderly Persons to Tipple game and Commit Disorders or
other Irregularities in his Ordinary or house of Entertainment Contrary to the
true Intent and meaning of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and Provided
