Somerset fs^t Frederick Absolute Lord & Prop^ry of y^e. Provinces of Maryland & Avalon
Lord Baron of Baltimore &^c. to the sherriffe of Somerset County Greeting Whereas
William Geddes Lately before Isaac Handy Esq^r. and others his Associates Justices
of our County Court of Somerset at Princes Ann Town Recovered against John
Roberson seven Pounds Nineteen shillings and five Pence Current money and
   Two hundred and
and ^ Twelve Pounds of Tobacco a certain Judgment Wherefore y^e. said John Roberson
is Convict as by y^e. Record to us appears and now on behalf of y^e said William Geddes
in our Court before us we have understood that altho Judgment thereof is given
Execution Nevertheless of y^e. Judgment af^d. Yet remains to be made to him wherefore
the said William hath besought us to grant him his Proper Reamedy in this
Behalf and we being willing that what is just in this behalf should be done
Command You that by good and Lawfull Men of Your Bailywick You give Notice
to the said John Roberson that he be and appear before our Justices of our County Court
of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of August Next to Shew
Cause if he hath or Can say anything for himself why y^e. said William Geddes ought
not to have Execution for y^e. Sum of money and Tobacco af^d. against him y^e. af^d. John
According to y^e. force form & Effect of y^e. Recovery af^d. if he should think fit and further
to do and receive what our same Court shall then & there Consider of Concerning
him in this Behalf & have You then & there y^e. names of them by Whom to him you
Shall give Notice & this Writt Witness Isaac Handy Esq^r. one of our Justices of our said
Court y^e. 20^th. Day of June in y^e. Tenth Year of our Dominion & Anno Dom. one
thousand seven hundred & sixty
Att which day here Came as well y^e. af^d. William Geddes by William Hayward his
Att^y. and y^e. sherriffe, to wit, John Dennis gentleman now here returned that he
by virtue of y^e. Writt af^d. made known unto y^e. af^d. John Roberson by Thomas
Holbrook & John Sanford good & Lawfull men of his Bailywick made known
unto y^e. within named John Roberson that he should be and appear before the
Justices within mentioned on y^e. day & place within mentioned to Shew Cause
as within to him it is Commanded                 So answers
