Att Which Said third Tuesday of August Came as well the afd. William Hayward gent. his
Lordships Attry who for his said Lordship in this part Prosecuteth as ye. afd. Nathaniel
                                                         a Certain
Whitaker in his proper person According to ^ the Recognizance by him and his Sery in that
part before Acknowledged &c.
Whereupon his Said Lordships writ of Certiorari being offered to his Lordships
Justices the Tenor whereof followith in these words
Maryland fst Frederick Absolute Lord and Propry of the Provinces of Maryland & Avalon
Lord Baron of Baltimore &c. To the Justices & Clerks of Somerset County Greeting we being
Willing for a Certain Causes that the Record & Proceedings of a Sertain Presentment or
Indictment before You Depending Against Nathaniel Whitaker of Somerset County Clerk
Should be Certified to You to ye. Justices of our Provincial Court at ye. City of Annapolis we
Command You that the Records & Proceedings with every thing thereto Relating as full and
entire & in as ample manner & form as they Remain before Ye whatsoever name and
Addition the said Nathaniel Whitaker be Reputed ye have before ye. Justices of our Provincial
Court to be held at Annapolis ye. Second Tuesday of September next under Your Hands & Seals
you Send together with this Writt that our same Justices may further do therein that which of
Right they say ought to be done Witness John Brice Esqr. Chief Justice of our said Provincial
Court the 12th. Day of April in ye. 9th. Year of our Dominion &c. Annoque Domini 1760

Maryland fst I hereby Certifie whom it may Concern that Nathaniel Whitaker upon ye. Eight Day of
August Anno Dom. MDCCLX with John Dennis Junrr. & Littleton Dennis his Securitys Came
me one of his Lordships Justices of ye. Provincial Court and did Recognize According to ye. form of
the statute in such Case made & Provided in ye. Sum of Twenty Pounds Sterling Each with Condi:
:tion at ye. Return of ye. within writt to appear in ye. Provincial Court and plead to ye. Indictmt
or Presentment within mentioned and at his own Cost to procure the Issue that Shall be joined
upon ye. said Indictment or Presentment or any plea Relating thereto to be tried at the next
Provincial Court or at ye. Sitting after the next Provincial Court if ye. said Provincial Court
shall not appoint any time for ye. Tryall thereof              Robt. Jenckins Henry &
The Record and Proceedings whereof in the Writt afd. are mentioned with all that
Happened Appears by the Record to this Writt Annexed

Memorandum that at a Court of his Lordship ye. Right Honrble Frederick Absolute Lord & Propry of ye.
Provinces of Maryland & Avalon Lord Barron of Baltimore &c. held at Princes Ann Town in and for ye.
County of Somerset County the third Tuesday of March being the Eighteenth day of ye. Same Month
Anno Dom. 1760 before Isaac Handy Esqr. and others his Associates Justices of ye. Same Court the
Peace in ye. Same County to keep assigned as also to hear & Determine divers felonies Trespasses
and other Misdeeds in ye. Same County Committed by ye. Oath of Twelve honest and Lawfull
Men of ye. County afd. then & there Sworn & Charged to Inquire for his said Lordship & ye. Body of
ye. County afd. it is presented in manner following    Somerset to wit, the Jurors for his Lordship
