August Court 1760 34 Case provided unto William Outerbridge of Somerset County Shop Joyner untill he the said George Furbush should Arrive at ye. Age of Twenty one Years the Said George Furbush to Serve his said Master the full term afd. during which the Said Apprentice his Said Master well and faithfully he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully And honestly every Where willingly he shall doe & in all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice he Shall Demean himself towards his said Master and all his during the term Aforesaid In Consideration of which Service the Said William Outerbridge present here in the Court in his Proper person Covenanteth with ^ Justices of ye. Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in manner and form following that is to Say that he the said William Outerbridge Shall and will during the term afd. Learn his said Apprentice the trade of a Shop Joyner & to Read, Write & Cypher as far as ye. Rule of three Inclusive and at ye. Expiration of his Servitude give him a new Suit of Cloaths of Drugget over & above his Commoon wearing Cloaths & as many Tools as will be sufficient to make a Desk and Likewise find & Provide for his said Apprentice meat Drink washing Lodging & Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have & wear during ye. term afd. Whereupon the said William Outerbridge is ordered to give Serty for to Comply with the Covenants Aforesaid Thereupon the said William Outerbridge together with Wm. Gray & William Dorman of Somerset County Gentlemen his Sertys all present here in Court in their Proper persons Acknowledged themselves indebted unto the afd. George Furbush in Thirty Pounds Current Money of Maryland on their Bodies Goods or Chattles Lands And Tenements Joyntly & Severally to ye. use of the said George Furbush his heirs And Assigns to be made & Levied if it happen that the said William Outerbridge do not during the term afd. Learn his said Apprentice the trade of a Shop Joyner and at the Expiration of his Servitude do not Give him of Drugget to read Write & Cypher as far as ye. rule of three Inclusive & ^ a new Suit of Cloaths ^ over and above his Common Wearing Cloaths & as many shop Joyners Tools as will be Sufficient to make a Desk & do not Likewise find & provide for his Said Apprentice meat drink Washing Lodging & Cloathing sufficient for such an Apprentice to have & wear during ye. term aforesaid &c.
