County afd. in and upon a certain Dinah Bloyd in ye peace of God and ye. said Lord
Propry then & there being an Assault did make and her ye. said Dinah then &
there did beat wound and Evilly Treat so that of her life it was much Dispaired
And other harms to her ye. said Dinah then & there did to the great Damage of ye.
said Dinah & against ye. peace of ye. right Honrble ye. Lord propry that now is
his good rule & government &c.
Thereupon it is Commanded ye. Sherriffe of Somerset County that he Should take ye.
Said Jonathan Roach if &c. to answer &c.
And now to wit at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town this Instant
June before ye. Justices thereof Came ye. afd. Jonathan Roach in his proper person
According to a Certain recognizance by him and his Scry in this part first ackno:
:wledged and had a hearing of ye. Indictment afd. Saith that he will not Contend
with his Lordship but for ye. saving Costs Labour and Expences about ye
Premisses Submits himself at fine with his said Lordship by occasion of ye.
Premisses and puts himself upon favour of ye. Court
Whereupon all and Singular ye. Premisses being seen and by ye. Court here fully
understood it is Considered by ye. Court here that the afd. Jonan. Roach for ye.
Premisses and offence afd. in ye. Information afd. above specified be taken &c.
Which said Jonan. Roach present here in Court as afd. is fined for ye. Premisses
and offence afd. the sum of Twenty Shillings Current money of Maryland which
he paid here in Court to ye. Sherriffe of ye. County afd. for ye. use of his Lordship
&c.

His Lordship
vs    Somerset, to wit, The Jurors for his Lordship the right Honrble
Teresa Covington    the Lord Propry that now is for ye. Body of Somerset County upon
their Oath present that Teresa Covington Late of Somerset Parish in ye. County afd.
Spinster On ye. Seventeenth day of June in ye. Year of our Lord one thousand Seven
hundred and Sixty with force and Arms at ye. Parish afd. in ye. County afd. in and
upon A certain Peter Tibedoe in ye. peacce of God and ye. said Lord Propry then &
there being An Assault did make and him ye. said Peter then & there did beat
Wound & Evilly Treat so that his Life it was much Dispaired and other harms
to ye. said Peter then & there did to ye. great Damage of ye. said Peter And against
the peace of his said Lordship that now is his good rule & government &c
   On ye. Back of ye. foregoing Bill of Indictment it was thus Indorsed Vizt
Testis Peter Tibidoe & Joseph Babar             Ignoramus
