Presentment afd. above upon her Imposed in Manner and form as by the Presentment afd. above
Against her Supposed and Maketh Oath that a Certain William Hast an Indian is the father of the
Child She Stands Presented for and is willing to pay her fine for the Same &c
           Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it
is Considered by the Court here that the afd Alley Wingate for the Premisses and Offence afd in the
Presentment afd. Specified be taken which Said Alley Wingate present here in Court in her proper person
is fined the Sum of thirty Shillings Curt. Money which She paid to the Sheriff for the use of the County &c

The Same
@    Somerset to witt    Be it Remembred that George Hayward Gent Atty of the Right Honrble
Eliza. Mitchell    the Lord Propry that now is who for the Same Lord Propry in this part Prosecuteth doth Come
           the
here into ^ County Court of the Same Lord Propry held for Somerset County to wit at Princes Ann Town in
the Same County the XXI day of June Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred Sixty and three before Sampson Wheatly
and others his Associates the Said Lord Propry his Justices of the Same County Court and for the Same Lord
Propry doth Give the Same Justices here to understand and be Informed that Elizabeth Mitchell
Late of Somerset Parish in the Said County of Somerset the VI day of Febry in the year of our Lord
One thousand Seven hundred Sixty and three at the Parish afd. in the County afd. within the Jurisdiction
of this Court did Commit Fornication with a Certain person unknown and did permit the Same
unknown person to have Carnal knowledge of her body and a bastard Child on the body of her the Said Elizabeth
then and there did beget to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil Example of all others in Such
Case Offending Contrary to the peace of the Said Lord Propry that now is his Good Rule and Government
And Against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided And So forth And
Whereupon the Same Attry of the Same Lord Propry for the Same Lord Propry prays Advice of the Court
here in the Premisses and that due process of Law in this part may be made Against the Said Elizabeth
to Answer of and upon the premisses and So forth
           Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take the Said
Eliza. Mitchell if &c. to Answer &c.      And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann
Town the third Tuesday of June and Year afd. before the Justices thereof Came as well the afd. George
Hayward Gent his Lordships Attorney who for his said Lordship in this part prosecuteth as the afd.
Eliza. Mitchell by in her Proper person and the Said Eliza. had a hearing of the Information afd. Saith
that She Cannot deny but that She is Guilty of the premisses in the Information afd. above
upon her Imposed in Manner and form as by the Information afd. above Against her Supposed
and Maketh Oath that a Certain Samuel Smily is the father of the Child She Stands Informed
Against for and is willing to pay her fine for the Same &c
           Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is
Considered by the Court here that the afd. Eliza. Mitchell for the premisses and Offence afd. in the Information
afd. Specified be taken which Said Eliza. Mitchell present here in Court in her proper person is fined the
Sum of thirty Shillings Current Money which She paid to the Sheriff for the use of the County afd &c.

The Same
@    We the Grand Jury for the Body of Somerset County upon Our Oath do present Sarah Donelson
Sarah Donelson    of Somerset Parish for bearing a Negro Bastard Child on or about the 20th day of Decr. Last
             Thos. Poyer Informer                                               Jno. Broughton foreman
Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Sarah Donelson
if She Should be found in his Bailywick and her Should Safe keep so that he might have her body before the
Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of
June Anno Dom. 1763 to Answer unto his Lordship of and Concerning the Presentment afd.
             Att which day here Came as well the afd. George Hayward Gent his Lordships Attorney who for his
Said Lordship in this part prosecuteth as the afd. Sarah Donelson in her proper person and the Said Sarah had
