And Whereupon the said George by Littleton Dennis his Attorney says that whereas the said
Thomas on the twenty second day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred
fifty and six at Somerset County afsd. by his certain writing obligatory which the said Day Scott
in his Life time with the seal of the said Thomas sealed here to the court shews whose date is the
same day & year afsd: acknowledged himself to be Held and firmly bound unto the said Day Scott
in his Life time in the full and just sum of fifty five pounds ten shillings and two pence Current
money of Maryland and the Quantity of two thousand two hundred and ninety four pounds of To
-bacco to be paid to the said Day Scott his certain Attorney Executors admrs: or assigns when he
the said Thomas should be thereunto required Nevertheless the afsd: Thomas altho often requi
-red the afsd: Sum of fifty five pounds ten shillings and two pence Current money of maryland
and the Quantity of two thousand two hundred and ninety four pounds of tobacco unto the
afsd Day Scott in his Life time or unto the said George Since the death of the afsd Day Scott
(to which the said George administration of all and singular the goods and chattles rights
& Credits which were of the afsd. Day Scott at the time of his death by Nehemiah King Gentle
-man deputy commissary of Somerset county afsd: Lawfully constituted and admitted the
        day of         in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred fifty and         at
somerset County afsd after the death of the afsd: Day Scott in due form of Law was committed)
hath not paid but the same to the said Day Scott in his Life time and unto the said George after
the death of the afsd: Day Scott hitherto to pay altogether hath refused And still doth refuse and
unjustly detain wherefore the said George says he is worse and hath damage to the Value of
fifty five pounds ten shillings and two pence Current money of Maryland and two thousand
two hundred and ninety four pounds of Tobacco and thereupon he brings Suit & So Forth, and
doth bring here into court the Letters of admn. afsd: of the deputy Commissary afsd: which the com
-mission of the admn. afsd in form afsd doth testify the date whereof is the same day & year afsd &
So Forth                                               pledges &c J Doe & R Roe
And Hereupon the afsd. Thomas Sloss by Samuel Wilson his Attorney comes and defends the
force & injury when &c and prays leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court to be held at
princess Ann Town the third tuesday of November then next following & he hath it & the same day is
given to the afd George Scott here also &c              Att which day here came as
well the afsd. George Scott as the afsd. Thomas Sloss by their Attorneys afsd & hereupon the afsd Thos.
prays further Leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court to be held at princess Ann Town
the third tuesday of March then next following & he hath it & the same day is given to the afd George
here also &c                 Att which day here came as well the afsd: George Scott as
the afsd. Thomas Sloss by their Attorneys afd and hereupon the afsd: Thomas prays further Leave
thereof thereof to Imparle here untill next Court to be held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday
of June then next following and he hath it & the same day is given to the afsd. George here also &c
           Att which day here came as well the afd George Scott as the afsd: Thomas Sloss
by their Attorneys afsd and hereupon the afsd Thomas prays further Leave thereof to Imparle
here untill next Court to be held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday of August then
next following and he hath it and the same day is given to the afsd George here also &c
           Att which day here came as well the afsd. George Scott as the afsd Thomas Sloss by their
Attorneys afsd and hereupon the afsd. Thomas prays further leave thereof to Imparle here untill
next Court to be held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday of November then next following
and he hath it & the same day is given to the afsd George here also &c
