                     June Court            1763         228
unto the Said William Givans in Two hundred pounds Current money of Maryland of their bodys Goods or
Chattles Lands and tenements Jointly and Severally to the use of the Said William Givans his heirs and assigns
to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said Benjn. Venables Guardian as afd. his heirs Exrs. and Admrs.
do not Comply with the Law in Relation to Such Guardianship as afd. and do not deliver up unto the afd. Orphan
his heirs Exrs. or Admrs. or Guardian or Guardians all the Estate Real and personall of the Said Orphan that
he Shall take into his hands and possession peaceably and Quietly when Ever the Same Should be Legally Required

Eliza. Burk Chose    Elizabeth Burk an Orphan Above the Age of fourteen Years Came here into Court
Joseph Collins    in her Proper Person and prays that she may be permitted to Chose a Certain Joseph Collins
her Guardian    of Somerset County as her Guardian which is by the Court here unto her Granted Thereupon
the Said Elizabeth Burk present here in Court as afd. made Choice of the afd. Joseph Collins as her Guardian
Accordingly    Whereupon the Said Joseph Collins present here in Court in his Proper person is ordered by
the Same Court to take into his Care and Possession the afd. Elizabeth Burk Orphan afd. and all her Estate
Reall and personall and further it is Ordered that a Certain Peter Hubbard deliver up unto the afd
Guardian all the Estate of the afd. Orphan of whatsort soever that he hath in his hands and Possession and
that of Right doth belong unto the afd. Orphan and that the afd. Guardian Give Good Security to Comply with
the Law in Relation to Such Guardianship as afd. and to deliver up unto the afd. Orphan his heirs Exrs. Admrs.
all her Estate Reall and personall that he Shall take into his hands and possession peaceably and Quietly
when ever the Same Should be Legally Required    Whereupon the Said Joseph Collins together with John
Kellum and Wilson Rider of Somerset County Planters his Securitys all present here in Court in their proper
Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the Said Elizabeth Burk in Two hundred pounds Current money
of Maryland of their bodys Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the Said
Elizth. Burk her heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said Joseph Collins
Guardian as afd. his heirs Exrs. and Admrs. do not Comply with the Law in Relation to Such Guardianship
as afd. and do not deliver up unto the afd. Elizabeth Burk her heirs Exrs. or Admrs. or Guardian or Guardians
all the Estate Reall and personall of the Said Elizabeth Burk that he Shall take into his hands and
Possession peaceably and Quietly whenever the Same Should be Legally Required &c

Joseph Dashiell    Joseph Dashiell of Somerset County Gentleman being present here in Court in his proper
Appointed Guardian to    Person and of his Own free Consent is Appointed by the Same Court as Guardian to a Certain
William Hobbs    William Hobbs an Orphan under the Age of fourteen Years untill he the Said William
Should Arrive at full Age by Law for the Chosing of his Guardian &c. And for as much as noe person would Accept
of the Guardianship of the afd. Orphan and his Estate in the Common Way of Guardianships the Court here puts

out the afd. Orphan and his Estate to the afd. ^ Clement ^ Dashiell as his Guardian Accordingly in Manner following
to wit It is Agreed by and between the afd. Guardian and the Justices afd. in Court Judicially Sitting on behalf
of the afd. Orphan that he the Said Guardian is to be in noe Sort Accountable for the Loss of the Slaves of the
afd. Orphan that he Shall take into his hands and possession but Shall take Care of them and preserve them
and their Increase in the best manner he Can for the use of the Said Orphan neither Shall he detain in his hands
And Possession Any of the Principal Stock nor the Increase of the Said Slaves of the afd. Orphan but deliver
them up Entire peaceably and Quietly whenever the Same Should be Legally Required &c.
           Whereupon the Said Joseph Dashiell Guardian afd. is Ordered to take the afd. Orphan and his Estate
both Reall and personall into his hands and possession and give Good Security to Comply with the Law in Relation
to Such Guardianship and Agreement as afd.    Thereupon the Said Joseph Dashiell together with Robert Dashiell
And John Graham of Somerset County his Securitys all present herein Court in their proper Persons Acknowledged
