Wm. Harper    William Harper an Orphan of his Own free Consent is bound out by the Court here
   Bound to    an Apprentice According to Act of Assembly in Such Case provided unto Leven Gale of Somerset
Levin Gale    County Gent untill he the Said William Harper Should Arrive at the Age of Twenty One Years he
being fifteen Years of Age Last Christmast the Said William Harper to Serve his Said Master the full term afd
during which term the Said Apprentice his Said Master well and faithfully he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his
Commandments Lawfully and honestly Every where willingly he Shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull
Apprentice he Shall demean himself towards his Said Master and all his during the term afd
           In Consideration of which Service the Said Leven Gale present herein Court in his proper person
Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in Manner and form
following Vizt that is to Say that he the Said Levin Gale Shall and will during the term afd. Learn his Said
                    Read
Apprentice to ^ Write and Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and Navigation So far as through
Marcato Sailing and at the Expiration of his Servitude Give him a Quadrant Scale Dividers Marriners Compas
Rectified Callender and Epittomy and a new Suit of Cloaths over and Above his Common wearing Cloaths and
Likewise find and provide for his Said Apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for
Such an Apprentice to have and wear during the term afd.
           Whereupon the Said Levin Gale is Ordered to Give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd
Thereupon the Said Levin Gale together with Samuel Wilson and Thomas Jones of Somerset County Gent
his Securitys all present herein Court in their Proper persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto
the afd> William Harper in the Sum of thirty Pounds Current Money of Maryland of their bodys Goods
or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the Said William Harper his heirs and
Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said Leven Gale do not during the term afd. Learn his
Said Apprentice the trade to Read write and Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and Navigation So far

Tabitha Hastins    Tabitha Hastins an Orphan of her Own free Consent is bound out by the Court here
      Bound to    an Apprentice According to Act of Assembly in Such Case provided unto William Hastins of
Wm. Hastins    Somerset County untill She the Said Tabitha Hastins Should Arrive at the Age of Sixteen
Years the Said Tabitha to Serve her Said Master the full term afd. during which term the Said Apprentice her Said
Master well and faithfully she Shall Serve his Secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly Every where
willingly she Shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice she Shall demean herself towards her
Said Master and all his during the term afd. In Consideration of which Service the Said William Hastins present
here in Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in manner

provide for his Said Apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and
wear during the term afd    Whereupon the Said William Hastins is Ordered to Give Security to Comply with the
Covenants afd. Thereupon a C the Said William Hastins together with Solomon Hastins and Moses Carmain his Securitys all
present here in Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted to the afd. Tabitha Hastins in the Sum of thirty
Pounds Current money of Maryland of their bodys Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the
Said Tabitha Hastins her heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said William Hastins do not during the
term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a weaver and to Read well in the Bible and to knitt Sew and Spin and at the
Expiration of her Servitude do not Give her a New Suit of Cloaths of Country Make Over and Above her Common wearing Cloaths
and do not Likewise find and Provide for his Said Apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such
