Leonard Jones Canter    Leonard Jones Canter an Orphan of his Own free Consent is bound out by the
   Bound to    Court here an Apprentice According to Act of Assembly in Such Case Provided unto James
James Brown    Brown of Somerset County Ship Carpinter untill he the Said Leonard Jones Canter Should
Arrive at the Age of Twenty One Years the Said Leonard Jones Canter to Serve his Said Master the full
Term afd. during which term the Said Apprentice his Said Master well and faithfully he Shall Serve
his Secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly Everywhere willingly he Shall doe and in
all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice he Shall demean himself towards his Said Master and
all his during the term afd.    In Consideration of which Service the Said James Brown present
here in Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially
Sitting in Manner and form following that is to Say that he the Said Leonard Jones Canter Shall
and will during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a Ship Carpinter and to Read write
and Cypher as far as the Single Rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration of his Servitude give
him a Broad Ax Adz and hansaw and a new Suit of Cloaths of Narrow Broad Cloath Over and Above
his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise find and provide for his Said Apprentice Meat drink washing
Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and wear during the term afd. &c
        Whereupon the Said James Brown is Ordered to Give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd.
Thereupon the Said James Brown together with William Brown and John Karmichael of Somerset County
his Securitys all Present here in Court in their Proper persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto
the afd. Leonard Jones Canter in the Sum of thirty Pounds Current Money of Maryland of their bodys
Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the Use of the Said Leonard Jones
Canter his heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said James Brown do not
during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a Ship Carpinter and to Read Write and Cypher
as far as the Single Rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration of his Servitude do not Give him
a Broad Ax Adz handsaw and a New Suit of Cloaths of Narrow Broad Cloath Over and Above his

George Tull Chose    George Tull an Orphan Above the Age of fourteen Years Came here into Court in his proper person &
John Pollit as his    Prays that he may be permitted to Chose a Certain John Pollit of Somerset County as his Guardian which
   Guardian    is by the Court here unto him Granted &c. Thereupon the Said George Tull present here in Court as
afd. Made Choice of the afd. John Pollit as his Guardian Accordingly Whereupon the Said John Pollit is Ordered
by the Court here to take into his Care and possession the afd. George Tull Orphan afd. and all his Estate Reall and
Personall and that the afd. Guardian Give Good Security to Comply with the Law in Relation to the Guardianship
as afd. and to deliver up unto the afd. Orphan his heirs Exrs. or Admrs. all his Estate Reall and Personall that he
Shall take into his hands and Possession peaceably and Quietly whenever the Same Should be Legally Required
           Whereupon the Said John Pollit together with Littleton Dennis and Joshua Merrill of Somerset
County Gentlemen his Securitys all present herein Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves
Indebted unto the Said George Tull in Two hundred pounds Current Money of Maryland of their bodys Goods or
Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the Said George Tull his heirs or Assigns to be
made and Levied if it happen that the Said John Pollit Guardian as afd. his heirs Exrs. and Admrs. do not Comply with
the Law in Relation to Such Guardianship as afd. and do not deliver up unto the afd. George Tull his heirs Exrs. or Admrs.
Guardian or Guardians all the Estate Reall and personall of the Said George Tull that he Shall take into his hands
and Possession Peaceably and Quietly when ever the Same Should be Legally Required &c
